Very nice place. Everything has this nice island vibe. Got served fresh fruit, juice and yogurts every morning. There is parking for your golf cart or scooter. The main city area is a 15 minute walk. I have done this a few times to get my steps in. However I usually just use our rented scooter.

It was a romantic place. We had a great view of the ocean! But the best spot was the rooftop! We were there on our last day and spent the entire day there! The pool with its view is stunning!!! The beds were relaxing! The outdoor shower, cool enough to ward off the hot Mexican sun! It is a beautiful location with a friendly staff and great breakfast!!

Location a bit too far from downtown core and North beach and located too close to busy noisy road. Room have a nice touch of natural stone, beds not too comfortable and the 2 double beds are too small for sharing bed with anybody but children Great continental breakfast served by nice cheery ladies who will always accommodate reasonable requests.

This place is amazing if your looking for a quiet romantic spot away from Cancun. The staff is incredibly nice, always available through WhatsApp. Quick and friendly service. The ocean views are beautiful and the sunset is a bonus. The roof top pool is also a great amenity. The fresh squeezed juice and fruit for breakfast gives a refreshing start to the day. The only improvement could be the shower head which is a conch shell which has low pressure but other than that I would definitely come back!

We’re can’t wait to go back!!!! It was our first time going to Mexico and we’re so glad we choose Icaco. Giovanni was a great host and we had the best and sweetest cleaning lady who also cooked breakfast! Great atmosphere, so much privacy. We got the Villa, it was always clean, really laid back atmosphere. The pool was so nice and even though it’s not right next to the beach it’s only a 5 min drive or 15 minute walk. Trust me, the island is so small it won’t feel like a difference. Plus the views are amazing. Definitely coming back. Also provided a doctor to come to the hotel and do at-home covid test to ease the whole experience when coming back to US. Which was helpful. internet not so great in the room we were staying but it felt great to be disconnected for a few days.

Isla Mujeres visita during Covid
We heard from some friends if we ever visited Cancun that we needed to visit Isla Mujeres. We chose this property because of its boutique style. Once we arrived we received a warm welcome albeit we found out that during Covid all the beaches were closed. We made the best of it and rented golf carts to explore the island. It turned out to be a great experience. We were the only ones checked into the hotel so we had it all to ourselves. They have a roof deck with a BBQ and a vista overlooking the ocean. Makes for some romantic dinners. I would recommend if you are in Cancun it’s a must to go visit Isla Mujeres and this hotel won’t disappoint.

Where to start. I'm a connoisseur traveller from Toronto. This boutique hotel is fantastic and I would rate it as one of the best I ever stayed at. don't put off by the apparent location of the hotel next to an airport - it's abandoned. The rough and wild sea is across the street and you can hear the waves. There are many details in the hotel de exceptionally down to the soaps and shampoos and the conch shell shower head. The hotel staff Michael and Giovanni were exceptional and made us feel at home. I consider them friends after just three nights. I don't think you will be disappointed with isla mujeres or this hotel. Very romantic. The only negative I'm compelled to say is that there is a bit of noise from road traffic. I elected to keep the windows open at night to enjoy the heat and hear the surf and not use the air conditioning which probably would have been quieter

The only complaint is that.it was across the street from the ocean. Still a great view since there is no obstruction but photos are a little misleading. The map location on Google is accurate.

We had a lovely stay here. Matthew and Mattia were away but never fear, sweet Giovanni serves as front desk, concierge, and ranconcteur. The hotel is visually beautiful and well cared for. (As often happens with a focus on the visual, some elements are less functional than envisioned, e.g., the use iof drilled conch shells for shower heads.) The breakfasts are terrific: fresh fruit, avocado toast and yogurt. And the roof deck is a hoot. Not enough shade for the daytime, but perfection for evenings, late night and early mornings. We would absolutely recommend staying here. It's a lovely high end oasis that stands out on the island.

Take us back!
Stayed for 4 nights for our honeymoon and it was just fantastic. Giovanni met us when we checked in - Allowed us a slightly earlier check in and was full of helpful tips and tricks for the island. The rooms are wonderful, clean and the bed was huge and super super comfy! The day after we met Matthew, the owner, who went above and beyond with advice and even dropped us into town a couple of times. The rooftop is an awesome spot to have an afternoon siesta or knock back a couple of beers in the arvo watching the sun go down. The breakfast each morning was a cherry on the top of a brilliant stay. Only regret is that we couldn’t stay for longer!

Property was beautifully kept. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Great space for retreat and relaxation (R&R). To make your stay well rounded, make sure you rent a golf car, vespa or have the telephone number of a taxi company handy as you will need it for all your day trip.

Beautiful Icaco Island Village
Roof-top pool, barbque, lounge area, lighting, and on and on, was spectacular!!!!! Giovanni and Matthew were attentive hosts to all our needs. Wish it wasn't so expensive. We are looking into why we were charged an extra $105 when we arrived We were told by Giovanni upon our arrival, that we were only charged 50% of the cost of our 2 reserved units. I checked my bank statement and we were charged the full amount of both rooms, over $675. Even the statement that we owed a balance of 50% of the cost of each room is incorrect. Hmmm?

We have registered 4 guests for your booking in the double suite (double occupancy) Each guest over 2 is charged $35usd/PP/PN. This is likely the additional fee that you are speaking about. One of our favourites!
Matthew was an amazing host and his hospitality is really what makes this a great place to stay. Being a boutique hotel, we felt we had truly personalised service, as Matthew went out of his way to get to know us, stop and have a friendly chat and offer special little touches. He also gave us some fantastic recommendations, the kind you don’t get from larger hotels, which made all the difference. The room was beautifully beach-chic, clean and well presented, with everything we needed for our stay. The only down-side was that the room faced a relatively busy road traffic-wise which meant my light-sleeping wife couldn’t sleep-in (but didn’t really bother me). The hotel is somewhat out of the town centre which is perfect for anyone looking for a little more seclusion from other tourists. It’s a short and pleasant walk into town and to Playa Norte, and also cheap to travel around by taxi, which Mattew is more than happy to organise for you. In fact, the money you’ll save staying here over one of the beach-side hotels is more than enough to cover the cost of several taxis (at 50-100 pesos a trip, it’s very cheap!) and leaves you some spending money for good food and restaurants. The hotel also has the unique feature of being next to a disused airport runway which makes for a unique morning jog! There is also a beautiful view over the whole island from the rooftop terrace. We highly recommend a stay at Icaco Island Village. Thanks for everything Matthew!

Highly recommend
Matthew ( the owner I guess?) is super helpful as super nice. The room is perfect! So perfect that I would rather stay here instead of 5 stars hotel! The interior design is on point and you can really see the effort all around the room. Only small complain is the hot water doesn’t seem to be enough for 3 people or we didn’t wait long enough to get the hot water.

Our stay in Icaco was very great. The receptionist was so kind and gave us so much recommendations. The accommodation was very cute and we felt well from the beginning. Also the terrace with the pool which is for all guest, was our highlight. We enjoyed there sunsets and relaxed. At the evening it gets a little loud cause of the traffic on the street but after 10pm it calms and you can enjoy a peaceful night.

Hôtel boutique sympa. Les chambres sont correctes mais un peu envahies de bestioles, par contre pour le lit double attendez vous à un petit lit... dommage... sinon le cadre est joli (malgré la route très passante en face), rooftop magnifique. Rapport qualité/prix élevé
