"The house is nicer even than the photos indicate. Every detail considered, bohemian and charming. Good views of Capiloveri from two different decks and a lovely private courtyard with fountain. Ingrid gave us a generous tour of her studio and relayed the interesting history of the place. There is a quiet trail directly across from the property that leads down to the water - we had young kids and so didn't make it all the way."

"Spent a fabulous week in Capoliveri. The cottage is beautiful, only a few minutes’ walk from all the lovely restaurants and shops in the town yet just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet at night! We were two couples and the house is ideal (one double bedroom, one single). We are enchanted by Elba - a very authentic and genuine place to stay - full of locals, no big hotels, just lots of charm. "Luca the owner was wonderful. He went out of his way to make our stay will one that we will always remember. His mother was wonderful. They made us feel as if we where staying with friends. They Drove us to the beaches and picked us up and then went out of there way to drive us to the ferry so we could take it back to the main land. Early in the morning. Outstanding. Did I mention the fresh eggs from their chickens. Staying here was outstanding"

"Very nice house and property with everything needed to enjoy. Great pool, very clean, table tennis and tennis court (if you can manage in the heat) and great coves and beaches within walking distance. Overall the location is awesome, it is private and quiet but also close to lovely Capoliveri and a supermarket. The local property manager is very reliable and helpful. The only thing that would make this house even better would be air conditioning ( we were there during a heat wave though)"

"We booked this room online in a rush and never expected such a beautiful property and nice staff. It was a perfect stay. The rooms are not luxury by the USA standards but totally adequate and very clean. The view and private balcony was unique. We chose to have their set menu for diner both nights. Food was great and they made changes to accommodate our dietary choices. "

"Welcoming apartment with a lovely view of the see. Air conditioning in the bedrooms provided much needed confort from summer temperature. We enjoyed the spacious grilling area outside. The WiFi was not up to the standard of our adolescent heir, but Silvia and Giusi provided alternatives as part of their exquisite hospitality. Grazie!!!"

"Naja das Haus gehört dringend renoviert, die Möbel sind uralt und nicht zu gebrauchen. Die Terasse ist toll, allerdings war während unserem Aufenthalt jeden Tag der Gärtner da, der einen morgens mit der Kettensäge geweckt hat, und der einen dann Tagsüber die Privatsphäre genommen hat. Aber der muss ja hoffentlich nicht jede Woche seine Zeit da verbringen."

"Not sure why this place has a 4 star rating, a 3-star rating is being nice. While it’s close to the beach and the house keeping staff were amazing, that’s about all the nice things I can say. The check in staff was rude and basically threw us our key and didn’t explain anything. We got yelled at for parking near our room after being told to park there to unload our bags ourselves. While there is a private beach for the hotel, they don’t tell you beforehand hand that you have to pay to use it. $27 euro a day. You get no towels for the beach or the pool and if you ask for one it’s a big deal and they try and charge you $10 euro a day per towel and was a big hassle to even obtain one. The room had no plug ins near the bed to charge phones. The rooms were run down and very outdated. After traveling through many parts of Italy and having the best experience with hotel staff this left something to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Also not the place for a couple, it’s more geared toward families with small children. "
