"Pretty solid B&B. Friendly and welcoming host. Clean and comfortable. Lovely location, just a shame it was in the middle of a storm so couldn’t appreciate the area. Was upgraded to a slightly bigger room. Only real downsides for me is there was no desk or chair to work at and was asked to check out half an hour earlier than the booking stated. I would return, but would also appreciate a veggie/vegan breakfast being offered. "

"I had a great stay at Southwell Stays. Very kind owner who communicated well. Very safe and central location in Southwell. Immaculately clean room and bathroom. Huge smart tv to enjoy whilst staying in room. Bonus of microwave and coffee station too. Very enjoyable stay"

"Great hotel with boutique rooms. The staff were simply amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room was huge and although a bit tired in places was spotlessly clean. We upgraded from continental breakfast to full English and omg, it was so good and a very large portion. I must also mention the coffee which was, and this is no exaggeration the best we have ever tasted, it was from ‘Forge’ coffee roasters in Sheffield if you are interested. "What I think the most important thing is to note, this is a coach house, a guest house, not a chain hotel so expectations must be a bit different. Not only do you pay a lot less, but as a result you are going to get a lot less, so you must expect a lot less. That said the room itself was lovely, it looked newly refurbished and very very well presented. "This is our second time back at the cottage. The pool is brilliant and much bigger than it appears in the photos. The surrounding are is beautiful and the cottage is really clean, snug and well kitted out. Another great stay."

"Superb place to stay if you’re going to Rock City. It’s literally next door. Great staff and a little shop of sorts selling snacks and juices to take to your room. A mean to cup coffee machine and pastry in the morning is a great touch. "
