"The property is spotlessly clean, the staff member who checked us in was polite and friendly, The room was very spacious. The only thing in the room that was lacking was a mirror, there is one in the bathroom but if like myself you want to straighten your hair there is no mirror to do so. The restaurant joined onto the hotel is fantastic, the staff and food we couldn’t fault."

"Everybody helpful and friendly. We had a dog with us, and that was not a problem to anyone nice bar to eat in with him. Lovely grounds and view so easy to take dog out for a little walk. Hotel, particularly good for walkers as they were happy to dry their boots in front of the fire overnight for them. Highly recommend it."

"Beautiful historical property in a fantastic setting - immaculate grounds surrounded by countryside. Right next to Beamish Museum -the best tourist attraction in the North East. We stayed in a Premier Room - well worth the extra expense ( just missing a mini fridge in the room). Already looking for a date to return. "
