“very long time to wait for check in”

The room is very small but is ok for stay. the only thing i am not happy is have to wait for too long time to check in the room. and the security guy in front of the check in counter is not nice.

“ok to stay if the price is right”

The location is very convenience, the overall quality of the hotel is pretty good. Except pay attention to the wireless bill, they have a wireless router in the room but it is not free, I saw people complaints about the charge at the counter. Also if you are a non-smoker, you must must request for a non-smoking room, in my case reserved a non-smoking room, but at the first night because they overbooked the hotel, they put me in a smoking room even thought they said the previous couple stays didn't smoke in the room, it smell so bad and I was so regret that I actually had to keep calling the front desk to change the room, wasted me couple hours to get it straight. the room itself is clean but also small, and the price is not cheap, I guess all the hong kong hotels are like that unless it is outside the city. To get there you can ask the hotel to arrange the shuttle bus for HK$130 per single trip per person which is reasonable especially if you have lots of luggage.

““My not so Smart choice...””

Pros: Clean rooms, tasteful modern design. Very accessible with the Airport Express bus pick up point right outside the curb and the Jordan and Yau Ma Tei MTR stations just 5 minutes walk away. Shopping and dining areas all around. Competent and helpful staff. Cons: Although HK hotels have small rooms, I wasn't expecting the Eaton Smart's room size to be that significantly smaller compared to the rooms of the hotel right next door where I stayed in before which had far larger rooms. The wardrobe closet can be described as a cubbyhole, in which I couldn't even hang all my clothes in. Same goes for the cubicle sized bathroom. There was also no complimentary breakfast and internet access offered.

“Great Hotel”

Would definitely recommend this hotel as it was clean, conveniently located (2 mins to jordan Station) and full of shops on Nathan Road. The service was excellent and all the staff in the lobby spoke English. The airport is only 25 mins by taxi and costs about HKG $250. This is more cost effective if you have at least 2 people in your group rather than take the airport express where you have to change at Kowloon or Central stations to take a taxi or the MRT.

Area recommendations

Jordan Station is 2 mins walk from the hotel. Nathan Road shopping area as it is full of shops. Temple Street market for all the gifts to take home. All the little restaurants in the side streets of Nathan Road for a culinary feast which will not dent your wallet!!!

Must see

Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride. Located near Disneyland/airport, it is a tourist attraction with a large buddha on the mountain. The cable car ride up the mountain is about 20 mins with spectacular views of the surrounding location and airport. Ngong Ping village is at the top of the mountain with loads of restaurants and souvenir shops. Daytrip to Macau. Time permitting, take a daytrip to Macau. Book a day tour via the hotel concierge. It is a full day with loads ot see and do including visits to the spectacular casino resorts like "The Venetian".

“Excellent Location”

Stayed on 2 separate occasions at the Eaton Smart Hotel - first night we were in a corner room on the 18th floor which was excellent. The 2nd week when we came back from our trip we were in a 'normal' room on the 9th floor. The location of the hotel is excellent. 5 minutes walk from Jordan MTR. 20 minute walk from Star Ferry and across the road from Temple Street Market. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Area recommendations

Temple Street Market for bargains. Star Ferry for the views Trip to the Peak for the views.

“HK Trip”

“One of the very best.”

Hotel in an excelant position for all your sightseeing and shopping. Eating out was a very pleasant experience, both in the hotel ( excelent value for money) and locally. Welcoming staff within the hotel, all eager to help.

“Convenient location”

The hotel room was very small but adequate. The room had a shower but no bath tub. The service was excellent at the reception, breakfast and concierge. The hotel was at a good location for us.
