Great place, ok service Posted 21-Jul-2014
The place, the beach, the sky, the sea are all great. Rooms are good, views are excellent. Most guests are Germans or Russians, coexisting quite peacefully, a lot of children, an overall enjoyable crowd whether you are a people's person or prefer to keep to yourself like I do. Driving to/from airport is easy, roughly 40 minutes. Nice entertainment options on the beach like parasol flying, water bikes. Small stuff: - No WiFi in the rooms. WiFi in the reception area is a local home connection, so when tons of people checking emails in the evening, it does not work well. - Beach towels 10am-11am only? Only one towel per person, btw. - In room towels are not changed daily. For God sake, it's a hot beach place, towels are used a lot. - No fiber-rich vegetables for the breakfast. No greens, no broccoli. - No coffeemakers in the rooms. If you need a hot tea or coffee, the only way to get one is to go to the bar, wait until they'll notice you, wait until they'll take order, wait until they'll bring it. All three steps are very slow. If you need two cups, repeat. That's especially unfortunate if you've got cold by swimming too much or using air conditioning in the night. - Free parking is somewhat limited. They have extra parking options, but they could not articulate that clearly in English. - Staff is overall friendly, functional, but not over-helpful. Bottom line: you pay premium for the place/location. The service... 3-star hotels in US are better.
