"We enjoyed our 2 night stay tha breakfast was exceptional The bed was very comfortable and the room was furnished adequately We had a couple of issues we the tv remote not working and the door cards didnt function after we went out one day All these issues were resolved All the staff we approached friendly and professional Tha Gym and spa steam room pool and sauna we all good we loved it "

"Absolutely amazing stay. The hotel was beautiful, and very accommodating. We stayed in room 6 in the courtyard, and it was one of the nicest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in, truly beautiful. Really cosy and romantic. We had our dog with us as well, they left a dog bowl and some treats in the room for him which was a lovely addition. Food in restaurant for breakfast and dinner was lovely too. Will definitely be back! "

"Wildgoose Cottage was a fabulous, away from it all break. The only noise we heard was nature, cows, pheasant and lots of birds. We were lucky to see a deer with a fawn and boxing hares. This is a very relaxing place to stay but a good 45 minutes walk to the centre of Whitby either along the road or the Cleveland Way."

"We hadn't stayed here before and it had been a long time since we'd been in Scarborough so didn't really have any expectations. We were 'upgraded' to a sea view room on the 4th floor but this is a 19th Century building so don't expect palatial. Everything was clean but tired but this is reflected in the price. The communal areas are stunning. The room wasn't serviced but we were only there 2 nights so that wasn't a problem and reception happily supplied us with more tea/coffee/milk. The Spa bath didn't work - again not too much of an issue. I also want to give a special thank you to Ann Bell who we 'happened across' whilst having we were orientating ourselves. She went out of her way to give us a guided tour and was very informative and helpful. 5* for Ann. On the whole our stay was comfortable and enjoyable but you do have to remember the age of the building and its' constraints. Parking could be an issue in the height of the Summer I suspect but it is certainly on our 'go back to' list"
