"We stayed at Happy House in Roedean for a few days in mid-November. It was a terrific experience. The house is beautifully placed, about a mile and half away from Brighton Town centre. This gives the home a sense of apart-ness whilst being in easy reach of the town. The house is tastefully decorated and features everything that one would need for an excellent stay, including parking. It also benefits from unspoilt views of the sea."

"That's what we called it - the house of the seven dwarfs. However, don't be held back by the "dwarf" part - it's not tiny! It is just extremely cosy, cute, and elegant. Vintage, yet certainly not outworn. An extremely pleasant experience for those like us, coming from the modernism of the city who want to find some peace, quietness and family-feeling. Communication with the host Claire was excellent and clear and she was very attentive to make sure I had everything I needed. I had a really relaxing stay here recharging my batteries after Xmas!"

"Warm, cosy and peaceful. Everything we needed. There is a railway line by the property but it didn't spoil the peace. The spring dawn chorus was wondrous. Apparently nightingales sing here too, but is was too early for them. Plenty of places to eat in the area, and not far from the coast. Great place to stay."
