Two night stay on our way to the east cost.
It has been 37 years since our last visit, check in was was quick, room was ready and well presented, we were given an upgrade at the front desk, room was on the 25th floor, excellant view of the harbour and old city.
We ate at both of their restaurants, lower level for breakfast and later a pub type dinner.
Our main dinning expeience was at their revolving restaurant on top, 28 level, what a spectacular view of the city a night, staff very helpfull and prices quite reasonable too.
The hotel is very well located. Close to restaurants, shops and sightseeing locations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At first we were giving a very small room with the view of a wall. This room seemed to be on the list to being remodeled, but had not yet been updated.. Upon my complaint, the staff quickly changed our room to a larger room with a lovely view and updated decor. We were very happy with new our accomodations. The location is perfect for the summer since it is on a street full of restaurants and shops. It is also walking distance from the walled in section (old city). In the winter, the walk to the walled in part of the city seems too far due to the cold and the snow, but the cab fare isn't that much. All in all, I recommend this hotel.

A great location that allows you an easy 15min walk to the walled Old Quebec City. The walk takes you past the citadel and the provincial legislature building, which we unfortunately couldn't tour due to security concerns following the Ottawa national legislature attack the day before. The architecture and history in the old city is fantastic. You can do self-guided tours, or various paid options. Don't miss stopping for breakfast at Paillards bakery on Saint Jean street. If you are driving, the hotel has valet parking for a fee on a back hot. Street-front to the hotel has everything from McDonalds and Subway to elegant dining and nightlife. The downstairs Taverne next door has welcoming atmosphere with local clientele and TVs for watching your favorite sports. Food selections are limited but good.
The staff was very friendly and acommodating. The breakfast is wonderful and has choices that most people would find quite adequate. We got the King Suite which has a separate closet, hallway, and bathroom. Our room overlooks Grand Allee (street name) where extensive construction is taking place. Since our stay was a long weekend, we weren't bothered by the noise of the equipment as there was no work on Saturday or Sunday. If our stay had been during the week I'd have wanted to know about the construction and noise ahead of time. Not much you can do about it but it could be a consideration for some.
The B & B is a very old home with a basement and 2 stories above. There are a couple of rooms in the basement, the owners are on the street level floor, and 2 or 3 rooms on the 2nd floor with a kitchen and dining room. We would recommend it and would stay there again.
This is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. It is located in the museum district and is within walking distance to most of the city attractions and fine restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.
I love Quebec City and have stayed at many of the larger and better known hotels, but this was a find, a jewel, price is right and within walking distance of all the major tourist area including lower Town. Would stay there again without any hesitation!
