The hotel is so convenient for the harbour and the old part of the town. So many restaurants to go to and shopping. I love the fact that you can swim straight into the deep sea from the hotel and have the pool facilities. The roof top bar is a great addition.

The hotel is perfectly placed for a dip straight into the sea via steps and a lovely pool. Sun beds can become scarce times as there is not always enough shade. They are closing for a few months to upgrade areas of the hotel. I would definitely go back again. We have been in both the apartments and the hotel. Equally good.

Hotel is in a lovely location close to the beach and harbour. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel is comfortable and amenities are good. Some areas need updating though. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was varied and well prepared. Drinks not overpriced. We had a very enjoyable stay

Never Again!
A return visit for a special anniversary... But NEVER AGAIN. Hotel is in a beautiful spot... but so run down now. Uncomfortable beds Air con not working... wasn't even good as just a fan To cool down you need to open the french doors... on the ground floor that means that your open to the world all night... with a barricade of chairs just in case... but we were awake because of the beds anyway. Pool area... wasn't actually "cleaned" in a week... just stuff picked up Great Bali beds to hire... supposedly starting at 10.00... one day 10.25... another 10.45... another gone 11.00 REALLY? They come with drinks and nibbles and fruit to "start the day"... one day the fruit arrived at 1.30pm! The drinks holder by the bali bed... NEVER cleaned, really bad! The roof terrace... bug heaven, filthy water laying in dis-used showers... broken beds... Small hotel that can get taken over by large groups.. one family with 11 kids took over the pool for days... unbearable. Hot food in the restaurant... very often colder than the salad bar! However, the salad choice was fab... and cold options/breakfast great. This was such a bad stay that we checked out early (at great expense) and moved hotels! Take heed management.. your staff are great... but if you don't sort things out your lovely hotel will never recover... It could be so good... but someone needs to take charge and sort it out!

Excellent position and amenities. Food was excellent, as was the staff who were helpful and always courteous. Would definitely stay there again as the resort's low rise style and traditional ambience make Puerto de Mogán the best and most picturesque resort in Gran Canaria.

Mike on reception was excellent. He was very helpful and friendly and a great asset to the hotel. Would return next week as Mogan was quiet and peaceful which was exactly what we needed.

Nice location
Overall all good, I think it is one of the best choices in that area. If we will go back to Puerto Mogan we will choose it again. Unfortunately, not all the staff there are meeting the standards of the hotel. But I very much appreciated the attention to customer's satisfaction that the hotel director has shown.

Fab location but hotel a bit tired and dated
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and this time found it to be slightly under par. We had been place in a ground floor room which had an awful 'drain' smell in it. We asked if they could do something but they just put some heavy duty bleach down the toilet which did not help one bit. We asked to be moved and they moved us to a disabled room which was not very good but at least it didn't smell. Overall we found the hotel to be in need of a refurb. It seems tired and dated now. The staff are helpful in the restaurant and the varied and plentiful. The location of the hotel is what sells it however, as it is perfect for this reasons

All about the view!
The bad bit.... the beds are SO HARD!!! The good bits.... Everything!!! Superb location, Superb staff, Superb food... (now on a diet!!!) I really don't want to write too many glowing reports... or more of you will go and spoil it for me!!! But I can say that I've already looked at times and prices for next year!!!

The staff were all excellent, friendly and extremely helpful. The bedroom was large and nicely decorated. Pool towels, safe, coffee and tea making facilities all included free of charge, as well as some soft drinks and water. At the pool there were plenty of loungers and parasols, and there was a changing room and togs spinner. Roof terrace was adults only. The one downside was poor wifi in our bedroom.

Very nice place, amazing staff and an extremely good location in the middle of the center of Mogan, as well as close to the beach. The hotel has a small pool, but also very nice stairs down to the sea and the outside area is clean snd tidy.. Food in the restaurant is good and they change the meny every day so you do not have to get bored, The staff is really nice and have a nice sense of humour,

Lovely location,staff very friendly, nice pool area, but the rooms are a bit dated. Breakfast provided a good choice, as did the buffet dinner but it did lack a bit in favour, maybe they could tweak the recipes, it was just missing a little of the wow factor, it wouldn't take much to improve it. Being a buffet the meats tended to dried out under the heat lamps. All in all, we had a lovely stay, I would go back, but maybe on a B&B package, if available.

perfect location for old and young couples
This hotel is in a busy place but it is surprisingly very quiet, great views over the harbor from the front and great sea views from the back the staff are very friendly and attentive. the main town of Puerto Mogan is just a couple of minutes walk and has some very good restaurants and bars the town has great shopping facilities for whatever you need.We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to all. We will be going back next year

Best hotel location overlooking marina or sea
Such a wonderful location - every room has a water view sea or marina. A two storey quirky stylish hotel with a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Could actually hear the waves lapping through your open french doors while you are in bed. So convenient for access to the surrounding restaurants, bars & shops in a pedestrianised area. Would have preferred a b&b but hotel only offers half board. Plenty of food choice served as a buffet. Lots of salads and meals in sauces however a roast was offered every evening. Definitely not the usual Gran Canaria hotel apartment accommodation!!

Hotel Puerto de Mogan ... Close by no Cigar!
First class position in Puerto De Mogan which is a pleasant resort The hotel presents itself as a 4 * hotel however in our view it is no more than 3 * The hotel has no parking and I asked by e mail prior to visit fir advice on parking unfortunately I received no reply My advice is to use the underground car park until you get your bearings especially on Thursdays since there are numerous cases of cars being towed away to accommodate the Friday market and costing 200 Euro’s to then get it back again ... the hotel could give advice on this at the front desk but don’t ! The buffet dinner is ok re quality however it can get very crowded and you can end up sitting very close to fellow guests which was a little unexpected.The hotel for room b/fast and dinner rubs at circa €240 per day for sea views and a balcony and whilst the views are spectacular I think it’s expensive for what you get and needs a refurb to justify its rating which I think is exclusively based on its position which cannot be bettered .There are numerous great places to eat down in the port and I think if we were to go again we would hire An apartment and do our own thing rather than going back to the hotel

Excellent location, quiet marina, good food
Our room had a lovely patio area, where we could sit overlooking the Marina. The hotel is in the heart of the resort, central to the marina, the sea, bars and restaurants. The resort is quite busy in the daytime, with lots of activity around the hotel area but it is very quiet in the evenings, which is what we prefer. If you want bars and nightclubs it is not the place to stay. The hotel food is of a high standard, with lots of choice and variety. The staff on reception are very pleasant and helpful.

Inferior room, no terrace, no balcony
Out of approximately 60 rooms in this hotel, about 28 had a terrace and 28 had a balcony, leaving four inferior rooms with neither terrace nor balcony. We spent £250 per night and were given an inferior room next to a building site. When we complained we were given another inferior room with no terrace not balcony. After this, essentially everything was marred by the fact that booking with a discounted online wholesaler makes the establishment treat you like an inferior guest. Never again.

Hotel Morgon in Puerto Morgon
Brilliant position overlooking the sea and mountains and our room overlooking the harbour. Great place to take my grandchildren as the buffets in the morning and evening are so varied they amuse themselves for hours. We all loved the Spa in the hotel too which had everything you would expect. Reception staff are exceptional and the waiting staff also brilliant especially as my wife is quite disabled and they did all they could to ease our situation. Similarly the cleaners were so friendly and all helped my wife when necessary. We have now had 2 family holidays here and will certainly go again. Top class food and varied every night. Reasonably priced good wine. You even get free cava with your breakfast!

Location couldn't be beaten
Location in resort was second to none. Whichever side of the hotel you stay on (marina or beach) won't disappoint. We were ground floor marina side. Generous terrace, sun late afternoon and early evening. Food was pleasantly surprising, better than the usual buffet style menu in this standard of hotel. Bar prices didn't break the bank. Mature clientele, which suited us. Wouldn't recommend for young families.

Hotel Puerta de Mogan and Resort
We were delighted with everything to do with both the hotel and the resort. A combination of old town and new developments with adjoining safe sandy beach together with outstanding facilities and service provided by charming hotel staff. Would totally recommend it to anyone and even disabled access is very good.

Weather in December amazing, hotel very nice, some staff better than others. Outside area is great and very well appointed, inside the hotel is quite basic and more of a three-star property. the rooms whilst sold s for three adults are NOT suitable for three adults or parents and teenager, the third bed is a camp bed and very basic. Overall though its a lovely town, the hotel is overall very nicely positioned and a good place to stay for a couple.

The location and setting on the sea is excellent however that was not enough. The hotel is more like an average 3 star establishment. It is a hotel of contradictions...... There is a pillow menu!! and an attempt at a turn down service plus freshly squeezed orange juice is on offer at breakfast. These are 5 star services but the room and the room cleaning were seriously lacking. Our standard room was tired and dated and had an unpleasant odour emanating from the bathroom. The shower drained poorly so we suspected the problem originated from there. On arrival we also reported that the bathroom door did not shut. This was repaired in minutes but the bad smell remained with us the entire week. The bed was large & comfortable. The buffet breakfasts & dinners were plentiful with lots of fresh fruit available. The cold starters/salads were good but certain hot foods did not look very apetising being left out for some time. The dining room was understaffed and we felt sorry for the waiters who seemed rushed off their feet. Most guests seemed to be well into there 70s. We would not return.

Little Venice and now Capri in one holiday.
2 weeks were excellent one or two minor things ( hotels having some repairs done a little noisy ) would have liked to listen to some light music while lying by the pool overall we had a great holiday the steps down to the sea were a dream being able to swim in the sea without having to pack up for the beach was wonderful looking forward to booking the same hotel again next year.

Best location in Mogan but hotel is dated
Avoid room 101-try and get second floor room.So many nice restaurants half board is a waste of money.Hotel caters for aged clientele and children would be out of place.Although discouraged sun bed reserving still happens but pool and sea pool are nice! If you get 209 ask if they have got rid of the cockroach !
