"Good for the money"
I stayed over NYE, traveling alone. The staff was SO helpful and dead on about their recommendations and suggestions of where to go and what to see. Tickets for the Metro, various tours, and attractions can be purchased at the front desk. Hotel is on the river, but about 35 mins outside of the downtown area. Very easy access to the city center via Metro. I had no issues getting around by myself, without knowing a word of Hungarian. The complimentary breakfast was good;mostly a European spread but there were scrambled eggs and sausage as well each day. I had dinner in the restaurant only 1 night, and it was fine. Also, the desk clerk provided a pot of hot water/tea upon request each evening. There is a fridge in the room with a limited but expensive mini-bar; no microwave or coffee maker in room though. The hotel is older, although it has been updated, but my room was clean and comfortable EXCEPT...it was very cold in the hotel, including the rooms. They brought a heater up right away, but I don't think I would go back in the winter.

"Good hotel on the outskirts of Budapest"
We are a young couple that went to discover the greatness of Budapest. Because we were travelling by car and all the hotels in the city center didn't offer free parking and because the public parking is so expensive, we opted for this hotel. It is situated about 10 minutes car-drive from the center and 500 m from the Metro Station. M3 will get you to Deak Ferenc ter in the center in about 10-15 minutes. It has a big parking lot, shared with the customers from Penny Market. The hotel staff was very polite and warm. We were checked in by Erszebet and she was very professional and kind. We had the Superior Double room on the third floor and it was great, just like in the pictures. The room was very spacious, clean, the bath had a bathtub and we didn;t had any trouble with the street noise (it has a view over the parking lot). Breakfast was served very early but it was consistent and rich. There was basically something for everyone, for any kind of tastes. To put it all in a nutshell, we liked: - the staff - the room - the parking conditions - the breakfast - the decor of the hotel ...and we didn't liked: - the distance to the city - the long walk to the metro station (because it was extremely windy and cold even though the sun was shining) - the neighborhood (it looks somewhat dangerous)

"Efficient and comfortable, nice breakfast"
Upon our arrival to Budapest airport, we called the hotel and they immediately dispatched a shuttle van to pick us up. The pick-up point is not at the terminal curbside, but in the large car parking lot in front of the terminal, at the point nearest to the terminal, near the cash machine. It's about 1-2 minutes walk. The van met us as scheduled and it was a 2-3 minute ride to the hotel. The hotel is quite large. The front desk person was not particularly friendly but very efficient and proper. He offered us to register for the shuttle van back to the airport the next day. The shuttle van departs every 30 minutes. We had a lot of luggage but we were not offered help carrying the luggage to the room. On our way to the room, I did not find the interior decoration particularly attractive - long somewhat dark hallways - but did not really care for our short stay. The room was clean, large in comparison to European standards, well equipped, and suitable for our needs. Breakfast is served starting at 4AM, which was very convenient for our early departure. The breakfast buffet is very large and impressive in its offerings. The waitress was friendly and helpful. They had a nice selection of sausages, cheese, eggs, etc., comparable to what we have seen in the nicest hotels we stayed in during our Europe trip. The shuttle van back to the airport departed on time and the drive was helpful. Overall I rate this as a good experience and a pleasant, efficient stay.

"Excellent 4-star"
It's the second time I stayed at this hotel. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Rooms were big and comfortable. I stayed here 3 days the first time, but they were fully booked, so I had to stay at a different place for a couple of days. But Expo Congress Hotel was my first choice. It was a great deal because I stayed there 6 days. Breakfast was also great. A variwty of breads, cheese, croissants, vegetables. The only thing I had problems with was the aircondition, as they seemed to have problems with it the second time i atayed there. Otherwise a great hotel. Big and clean and quiet rooms. A bit far from the city center. 10 minutes away from the closest stores (gas station, Burger King etc), 20 minutes to Arena Plaza mall. I used to walk and it took me 50 minutes to the city. So if you're the kind who likes to take long walks this shouldn't be a problem for you. This hotel is truly a 4-stars hotel and I highly recommend it, wether you're a tourist, on a business trip or a honey moon.

"Very smart and clean hotel"
We had a lovely four night stay at the Ramada in a very clean and comfortable apartment. The reception staff were always very helpful. On the down side, the food at the buffet style restaurant was appalling and expensive for what it was!

"Good hotel location, near the Arena and Metro"
Was a bit put off before coming here owing to some negative reviews, but the hotel is worthy of a 4/5 review and I'd use the hotel again. Location - near metro station on line M2 and also near the 1/1A tram line, which is a useful routing as it connects up northern and southern areas of the city, handy if wanting to visit Szentendre (connects at Szentelek Ter) and also Nepiglet for line M3. A few people have concerns about the area, I've none. Walked round here at all hours of the day and it's fine. A couple of convenience stores are also open late, so always a few people around for example. Hotel is fine. Lap of luxury its not, but reasonable it is. So for the good - rooms are comfortable enough and were clean and tidy. Same with the common areas of the hotel. e.g. reception. Bad bits: comments about the plumbing in some reviews. It does need work, but it never caused any inconvenience. Traffic noise is something to think about, but this is true of any hotel in any city. However, floor 7 was fine and offered a great view over the city. Higher the floor, less noise. Never ate in the hotel & unless it's included in your room rate, its 9 Euros a head extra. A bit steep, although many hotels do charge more. A few places nearby do sell pastries and coffee though. As a point to note: the hotel does provide tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but no tea/coffee, which is a bit odd, however brought tea/coffee and milk locally. Minibar fridge also keeps the milk cool.
