“wonderful hotel in the Geneva centre”
Stay there and you will like it. It is modern, clean and in the centre of the beautiful citi.
“Restaurant and bar are very expensive!”
The hotel is great! Nice location and beautiful rooms! But the bar and the restaurant are both very expensive for what one gets: very small portions and nothing extraordinary good! Food is just correct, nothing special! I've been to Mandarin Hotel in London and in NY and both have drinks and food out of this world! Nice portions and very high quality! Nothing to complain about Mandarin Hotel in London and in NY but I can't say the same about the food and drinks at Mandarin Geneva, I'm afraid! Switzerland is a great country with marvelous food so I think it is not worth to spend a lot of money at Mandarin bar/restaurant if you can go somewhere else and get delicious food and drinks!
“Lovely hotel”
Very luxurious hotel. Friendy and attentive staff - from the glass of champagne on arrival to the upgrade to a river view suite when they learned it was my hubby's bithday to the yummy chocolate cake delived by room service. A luxurious experience!
“Value for money”
Lovely location beside the River Rhone a few minutes walk from Lake Geneva and about 15 minutes from the airport. Our room was on the fifth floor and looked out onto the river: it was very comfortable and well serviced. We felt that the breakfast (continental and buffet style) was over priced but that the evening meals - two and three course set price meals - offered relatively good value for money in pleasant surroundings. Geneva is an expensive location but on the positive side the local inhabitants were very friendly and courteous. An excellent destination for a hassle-free long weekend.
“An exceptional hotel top to bottom.”
Our stay was wonderful from the minute we got out of the cab until our goodbyes and pictures with the staff. The staff/service was the best ever. We were greeted with a free upgrade and coffee at checkin. The room was very clean, bathroom incredible, every amenity you could ask for. This hotel is underrated with 5 stars. I would call it a 10 star experience.
“Comfortable, convenient and helpful”
The hotel is in a very convenient location - short walk from everything. Service was very helpful - even helped me change my hotel reservations in another city. Nice, spacious bathroom. My only issue was that the cleaning people were a bit overzealous: one felt the need to put my soap back in my traveling case - forcing it in the wrong way and breaking the case. Another folded my clean clothes and put them on top of my suitcase - which had just been pulled through a puddle of dirty water so I wasn't too excited about that!
“You will not be disappointed”
I really can't say any bad things about this hotel. The service was excellent, rooms very clean and comfortable. The frontdesk, concierge and the hotel restaurant offered just lovely service and made me feel like all of them were really going out of their way to make my stay more pleasant. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the lake and the train station.
“Very good hotel”
Mandarin Oriental is a class in itself, and this hotel lives up to that standard. Great riverfront location within a walking distance from Geneva's fine shopping area just across the river. The staff was very courteous and helpful with directions and minor requests. Room was immaculately clean and comfortable. There were enough power outlets in the area near the desk, to plug in several devices - computer, cell phone, etc. There was a black and white priner in the room, but its software needed to be installed on the computer first from a CD that was provided. I needed 5 colored copies of a 10-page power point presentation, and the staff gladly helped me for a fee of 11 cents a page - I emailed the file to the front desk, and had the copies delivered to me in 15 minutes. Wired broadband internet was 25 SF for every 24 hours, but wireless access was available free of charge. However, I tried, but was unable to connect to the wireless, so I ended up using the wired connection. There were two Swiss power outlet adapters in the room, and I found it very helpful. Overall, a very good place to stay for a business traveler.
“Excellent Hotel”
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The quality of the service is second to none. Presented with a complimentary glass of champagne whilst checking in and then a birthday cake sent to the room with a card signed by everyone at reception. The Indian restaurant in the hotel is a must although like everything in Geneva expensive! but well worth it, not your average curry....
“very comfortable”
