Great 4 night stay. Reception staff v friendly, expecially the Irish guy who was working there in a morning. Very clean and tidy. Only downside it could be abit closer to town.

Good for overnight stay

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Pros: Parking and price
Cons: Building could do with an update.
Location: On a main road yet quiet enough to sleep well. Pleasant walk into town which has character and enough history and shopping to keep us amused for a day
Only stayed one night and facilities, while basic, were adequate. Staff were very helpful. Room was comfortable and adequate. Twenty minute walk into town, which suited us, and parking for our car.

Budget you get what you pay for.

Although budget priced the property was tired and not clean. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning as I was informed is outsourced and leaves much to be desired. A soiled sanitary napkin in the bathroom is TOTALLY unacceptable.

Booked to stay 2 nights, enjoyed Galway so much we asked hotel could we stay a 3rd...no problems and even got to stay in the same room...10 mins walk to Ayre sq..Galway shopping complex is 5 mins walk, loads of bars from a minutes walk away...hotel has comfortable bar, serves food and Pizza 24/7...got to park right at the door free, also secure car park to rear...easily got to as its at the main roundabout linking all routes entering Galway...staff were helpful, printing tour routes, organising taxis, and good advice on things to do in Galway..Will be back soon and will stay in the Travelodge...

Never again

Posted 07-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
I would never stay at the Travelodge again. The room was totally overpriced for what it was. The decor (what little there was) was sterile and reminded me more of a college dorm room than a hotel. There was no free internet, no hairdryer, no fridge, the phone didn't work, and the windows were paper-thin. My room faced the windows of another building no more than 15 ft away and there were no sheer curtains only blackouts so I basically never saw the light of day while in the room. There was a large ledge and a security camera right outside the window which didn't make me feel very safe.

Travelodge Galway

Posted 19-Jul-2014
Pros: Very helpful staff
Cons: Fix the window latch in room 32!
Location: 20 minutes walk into the centre of town.
Clean hotel. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Situated beside very busy Tuam road. Unfortunately window not closing correctly leading to road noise contributing to a broken nights sleep. :(
