"You’ll never have a more higgledy piggeldy experience with a hotel than this one. But oh how it’s worth it! The buildings were built in perhaps the 1200’s, so the floors are very uneven. The rooms and baths are comfortable, the porridge for breakfast delicious and the location unbeatable. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. In short we loved it. "

"Lovely home made cooked breakfast to order. We were in the suite room lovely living space, futon bed was a little uncomfortable but memory foam used so may just be us. Everywhere was very clean, nice tea and coffee, decor and a well laid out bathroom. Was quite noisy in the morning and could hear breakfast being laid and noise from upstairs bedroom with people walking around. Overal a lovely stay and very friendly owner. "

"One of the best b and b’s we’ve ever stayed in. Great location, we could actually see the sea from our room although it’s not a seafront location. Our room was huge, with a big comfy bed, a fridge, sofa, tea/coffee making facilities and a lovely en-suite shower room. Plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels. Shampoo and shower gel provided but no hand wash. In the morning, we had a lovely full English with the best hash browns I’ve ever had. Service was very friendly throughout. We will...

"Lovely b and b in perfect location minutes from beach. Excellent breakfast. I wish I'd been there when the weather improved the next day as there is a lovely patio by the river."

"When I arrived it said there was a reception at the rear. There was nothing but a locked door. I was lucky that there was a fellow guest who could let me in and ring the manager. When I got in the room it was unmade from the previous guest, the sheets where dirty, there were bedsheets in the washbasin, dirty towels on the bed, the two towels that were folded up and put in the wardrobe were stained. The duvet smelled of urine. All in all very dirty and you'd be better going somewhere clean."

"A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. "

"The woman I spoke to was kind enough to let me check in several hours early, and I was upgraded to an absolutely GORGEOUS room and full bathroom including large bath and separate bidet. The location was fantastic; close to the middle of town and the local beach, quick walk (though very steep) to the castle, in between walks to the white cliffs in either direction.
