"A truly delightful stay. Borgo del Carato is beautifully restored, and located in beautiful surroundings. The first thing that struck us is how the air is rich with the scent of orange and wisteria blossom and the garden in the morning full of birdsong. The team were all friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. "We arrived via the not fit to drive at night broken road and upon arriving decided NOT to stay even though we had paid. The hotel pics must be very old as it looks like something from a horror film. Flaky paint, badly kept gardens and flies in our room. We handed back the key and left. The road to the property is horrendous. Don't even think about going anywhere for dinner and back....it's not safe....awful"

"This property should note for everybody STAIRS STAIRS STAIRS everywhere and all the time! For people who are not well-moveable absolutely unsuitable accommodation :( For others - amazing view from every room :)) Also there is problem with parking. So this property should not announce that there is parking available. It is not true for everybody. We came in winter and heating was not working, so there was very cold in a room. "
