“Basic but comfortable”

I stayed in a triple room for one night. The lovely reception staff kindly offered another room when she saw my mum has impaired mobility. Although the deco is dated, the room is clean and comfortable. The hotel also offered free wifi in the room and a very generous free tea and coffee facilities in the lobby. I had to park my car across the road as their parking is full hence It is advisable to enquire prior to arrival as it seems parking space is limited.

“Great location, friendly staff”

This is a great place to stay right in the center of Dusseldorf. It's afew minutes walk from the train station. The staff is very friendly and fluent in English. If you want to have the window open at night, ask for a room toward the back. The street-side rooms are quiet when the window is closed.

“Great for the price”

While the decor leaves something to be desired, I can't complain at all about my stay at the Monopol. The staff were extremely helpful (and they speak very good English), the room was always spotless, the hair dryer actually worked, and the (single) bed was comfortable. I was also really pleased with the variety of the foods served at their breakfast buffet. It's located very close to a subway station and within walking distance from the 'altstadt', the konigsallee and the media harbour. The only real complaint I have is that I had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to my room since there isn't an elevator.

“Below any reasonable standard”

I was so unsatisfied that I packed my luggage and left, looking for another place to saty, even though I had already paid for it. The size, the mattress, the ventilation, almost everything was below my expectations.

“Mehr als man von einem 3 Sterne Hotel erwartet”

freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, das auch mal auf Wünsche eingeht. Reichhaltiges Frühstück; besonders ist die Altstadtnähe der Grund der Übernachtung. Mehr als man von einem 3 Sterne Hotel erwarten kann.

“Gute Lage!”

Top Lage, allerdings nur zu empfehlen, wenn man nur in D-Dorf losgehen möchte, ansonsten würd ichs nicht nochmal buchen!

“Hotel Monopol close to the trainstation”

This hotel is pretty well situated, the rooms are clean and the staff friendly but the room's walls are thin and it became very noisy with no intimacy when my room's neighbours came back and woke me up in the middle of the night. Even with ear plugs i could hear those people like they were in my room. Definitely not a good night of sleep !

“Preis/Leistung sehr gut / WLAN mit sehr guter Geschwindigkeit”

Hotel in Zentrale Lage mit komfortablen Betten und einem sehr guten Frühstück. Preis / Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Was mir richtig Spass gemacht hat ist ein sehr gut funktionierendes WLAN. Geschäftlich zu empfehlen.

“Lage super, sonst eher Mittelmaß”

Freundlicher Service, super Lage, gutes Frühstück aber die Sauberkeit des Zimmers liess zu Wünschen übrig.
