“You get what you pay for”

I rented 2 rooms for a conference in Southfield. The sink water faucets were connected backwards and I did not have hot water for the first 10 minutes of my shower. The other room did not have any heat in the room. When I instructed the front desk her response to the cold water was "well at least you got the hot water." Yeah, after I was done with my shower.

“Good value”

Everything was fine for us and the staff were helpful. About the only problem we had was finding the hotel. Northwestern highway in the area of Telegraph is difficult to access.

“Not up to Hampton Inn standard”

The building is old and smelly so as your room. It probably used to be some other hotel and now it is Hampton Inn, so nothing is really up to those newer standard Hampton Inn quality. Jacuzzi was cold. No refirigirator or microwave. A less expensive price setting than standard Hampton Inns for all the less quality. Hampton Inns are usually very good at uniform quality from location to location but not this one.

Area recommendations

Pay regular price and stay at Hampton Inn in Novi. Southfield one is not recomended.

Try New Seol Garden for good Korean BBQ dinner which is right next to the hotel.

“Not What I Expected”

The hotel was nice but the bathroom inside of the room smelled like a public stall. Luckily I had disinfectant and air fresheners with me that drowned out the smell because they were booked. I also expected from the photos to have nice fluffy down comforters but when I arrived I was left only to find a lumpy worn DOWN comforter. I'm not sure if I would stay here again. 50/50

“Good Price for a Hampton”

Excellent orice for a Hampton Inn. Not as nice as most but still very good. One of the best hotels for the price in the Detroit area.
