"Most aspects of this hotel were very good. I would stay here again. But NOT in room 16 (which has a bath and fixed shower in the main room). Otherwise: (1) GOOD THINGS were the staff; cleanliness; location; breakfast; the bed; 24/7 accessibility; the towels; the dressing gowns; storage; communications; and the complimentary umbrella; (2) COULD DO BETTER THINGS were the safe - not big enough for a laptop; the duvets - why have two single duvets when you’re staying in a double bed; the cold floor...

"Saint Shermin isn't a grand hotel with doormen and porters or a lobby where you can have a drink and be seen. It's a small, quirky hotel that's run very well by a friendly staff. The entrance to the hotel is by a small off-street door that leads into a foyer shared by all the building tenants. A sweeping staircase brings you to the lobby on the second floor. "The hotel generally meets the expectation from a 5-star hotel. It is worth pointing out the courtesy of the staff, the high standars of cleanliness and the very convenient location. The breakfast was satisfactory and enjoyable. The thing that needs attention for improvement is some pieces of furniture in the room such as seats that squeak when used. "

"The room was good, clean and with good WiFi and very quiet but I did find it slightly lacking in natural light. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent for many museums. Only a short walk to the nearest station with an easy connection for the airport train"

"Great location next to a market for food and drinks, also plenty of restaurants and bars within very close walking distance. Nice sized room. Friendly staff who speak English to help with any questions. Nice breakfast. The only thing that was annoying (as I am a light sleeper) is that you can hear and feel the rumbles of underground trains passing under or very close to the hotel which woke me up at about 05.30 both mornings. "
