"Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too."

"We loved the location and felt very much at home in a comfortable home. Particularly liked the armchair in the window overlooking the reservoir. We were walking 7 “Ethels” in the Dark Peak and all were easily accessible from Martha’s Cottage so ideal for our purposes. Pie Night at the Pickled Pheasant was also a nice discovery!"

"Lovely cottage, I was unsure when booking as there wasn’t photos of all the rooms, however they were all great. The location was perfect, right by The Roaches, great for walks from the door step and close by to other amazing locations in the Peak District. "It is situated in a quiet area and only a few minutes' walk from the centre, so it was ideal for us. It is a very clean house with everything we needed. As others have said, you need to take the owner's advice about how to park, but I got a Nissan Juke in and out of the parking space. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly when we had a query. We would definitely go back again."

"The property was in an excellent position, well equipped and very clean. Communication with the owner was excellent when we did encounter a problem with the shower which was quickly solved. The outside patio area could do with a little maintenance to improve the overall experience as we spent a lot of time sitting and eating outside in beautiful weather and surroundings. We felt that the provision for recycling also needed improving but otherwise the whole experience was excellent"

"The plus side: Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine. Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog. Sky/netflix. Bed very comfy. "Lovely spacious clean cottage, very well equipped. Owners were attentive nice people. Summer or winter very comfortable place to be. Good position for visiting lot's of places. Lovely patio to sit in looking out towards the cattle in the fields, watching sunset or rise! We would definitely stay again. Thank you."

"The cottage is cosy, comfortable and easy to live in. The location is beautiful and secluded with a lovely little village only a few minutes drive away. Plenty of things to do within a few miles drive and lots of walking. Jo, the host, is welcoming and very helpful. "We enjoyed our stay at the Torside cottage so much. It is such a lovely cottage, everywhere you look the views are incredible. There is easy access to many trails and activities in the area. The hosts, Lisa and Kev, were very nice as well. "The apartment was nice. Kitchen fully stocked. City centre location so was very noisy at night until 4am one night. The room also isn’t pitch black even with the curtains drawn. Could do with blinds. Floor was quite greasy and sticky so had to wear shoes the whole time. Checkout process was easy and quick. Parking was a nightmare. There’s a car park opposite the apartments but you have to pay and it’s very limited because it’s free after 8:30pm. Always fully packed. Had to park around the corner...
