"First time in Pittenweem. The flat was small but we didn’t need anything bigger. Space had been used carefully and was well furnished. When the wood burning stove got going it made for a cosy experience. Pleasant seafront area nearby and Anstruther is only half a mile or so away. St. Andrews is about 20 minutes by car. Well worth a short visit (three nights for us)."

"Idyllic is the word - Pittenweem is a lovely little fishing village and a great base for wider travel, and this house is just perfect - really well presented, large enough that you aren't all tripping over each other and very quiet. Sam is a terrific host too."

Communication from the owners was superb and they were welcoming and considerate - living next door they were on hand and supportive without ever intruding on our time or privacy. Wonderful selection of items in the kitchen and fridge to welcome us on arrival. Extraordinary views from the property. Good access to the local towns and area, and walks out of the door. The roads nearby are minor and require a little care, but nothing unusual. Brilliant...

"My wife and I absolutely loved spending the day reading and relaxing by the wood stove looking out over the fields, watching sunrises together. The check in process was easy, and everything was clean and extremely well maintained. The bed was fantastic to sleep on. We loved it so much we booked an extra night! It's a short drive to St. Andrews and a number of farm shops and other small towns. Well worth the stay!"

"We loved this location and thought the cottage was super cute. The fridge was dirty upon arrival and we messaged them via chat to let them know but they never messaged back, so we just cleaned it ourselves. The cottage is old which gives it character, but it could be cleaned better. There were many cobwebs and bugs in the cottage which wasn’t ideal. Overall, we would recommend the location but advise the owners to clean it better."

"Thank you for a perfect weekend. House was so well located beside a garden centre and the coastal path - and in a beautiful area. It was ideal for coastal walks. Sun shone most of the weekend which made for lovely views of the sea and for exploring the surrounding villages. The house itself was comfortable and homely and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook in the evenings - local produce was all delicious too. Jeanette couldn’t have been kinder as she offered us an early check in too...

"This is a perfect cottage, only a 5 min drive from St Andrews but so peaceful, with fantastic sea views from the living room and master bedroom, across the links. We loved the large enclosed garden which meant our dogs could exercise safely. Perfect for anyone with mobility issues as everything is on ground level, no steps and open plan living area. It was clean, cosy and modern. We mainly ate at home and the cottage had everything we needed. We had a little difficulty finding it on arrival as...
