There was heavy construction going on, heavy jackhammer being used on my wall starting at 6:00 A.M.. Pile of dirt blocking entrance. They lock the front door to the hotel sporadically during the day or night and you have to signal someone to let you into the property. They speak NO English. At least one lady at the front desk was very rude also. I let them keep my money and went to another property..

Not terrible, but unpleasant.
The hotel is in a well known and safe area. The hotel is across a really good Argentinian restaurant. The receptionists and cleaning staff were superb. My room was a bit far from the wifi router, the receptionist lent me a wifi extender to see if it helped, she later stopped by to see if internet access improved. It didn't really help but I am thankful for her good will to help. The cleaning staff always left the bedroom clean as new, impressive! Something that was disappointing was breakfast and the one lady that was in charge of breakfast. The yogurt that was used to serve over granola was adulterated, it was either added with milk or water, it was not thick and almost tasteless, I finished breakfast still feeling hungry. On our last morning we arrived 20 minutes before breakfast was to end(9am). Most chairs were put away, leaving a very uninviting environment. My partner wasn't very excited about breakfast, so she just had some coffee, and I served myself some granola and yogurt with little hope that the yogurt was original unadulterated yogurt, and again the yogurt was as the morning before. The story is a lot longer but I'm limited to how much I can write here. So to conclude, the only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars instead of 1 was for the great receptionists and cleaning staff. I suggest that the hotel stop serving breakfast or improve it drastically, it would be embarrassing for things to go on like this.

La ubicación excelente y segura en una calle tranquila al 100 metros de un centro comercial importante como La 14 y a 7 minutos en taxi de Chipichape. La habitación doble grande y cómodo y el desayuno muy bueno

Great Location. Good value for money. Not perfect
Great location. Great service. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great Value for money based on location. Walking distance to Chipicape Mall and hospitals. Good restaurants nearby. Many taxis as well. As other customers have stated before. The internet can be spotty at times. It works 99% of time but some times it can be slower than usual. Sometimes the hot water doesn't work. I would definitely recommend this and I know I will be back here because of the location, service and price.

Small, well named hotel with no frills. I chose it because of a good location near the large Chipichape Mall and the cheap price. You do get what you pay for. As always when I book online, they gave me a bad room location. Near the stairs on the 2nd floor. Could hear noise from the front desk intermittently. Bed was like a ROCK. Positively a slab of concrete! Woke with a sore back every morning. Additional towels and TP never provided, but the staff brought them quickly when you called. Helpful staff, but not one English speaker made checking in a bit of a chore. Free breakfast, which is very basic, but they will cook you fresh eggs upon request.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. Those are the only good things I can say about this place. When I checked in and went to the room I found that someone had used the toilet and left a welcome gift. Not a good start. The bed is as hard as the floor. The AC was slow to cook the room down. The window did not shut all the way and would move when the wind blew. They only give you one towel. And dont expect any privacy, the staff can open the locked door. Staff walked in two times while I was there, I never heard anyone knocking. Also it is a very loud area and you hear everything going on outside(I was on the fourth floor).

Very close to the two malls of chipichape and everything in walking distance. The hotel is located next to my daughters university so was very convenient for visits, restaurants and shopping.

terrible experience with hotels MS.
I was a previous customer, never had a problem until this trip. The moment i got there they informed me that my reservation was cancelled and wanted me to go to one of there hotels toward the south of the city. (MS castellano) this was meant to be a 2 night stay at MS Estacion, i made the reservation 3 months in advance. After complaining with the front desk the only option was to go to MS castellano for the first night and return to MS estacion for the second. This of course made me spend more on taxi fares. I already did research for Hotel MS castellano in the past and i knew the hotel was of low quality and the neighborhood was not a nice one. There was a cockroach in the bathroom and the room was so small with no view. I also was charged more than what i was quoted for with hotels.com. I had no choice but to pay it as i had no where else to stay. It was a terrible first night. The second night we returned to MS Estacion which is where i originally wanted to be in. This hotel is in the part of the city that i love. It wasnt my first time at the hotel, i really enjoyed it in the past. But this time the minibar refrigerator was broken and we couldn't keep our drinks cool. We were told they wouldn't fix it until we left the next day. Its too bad because i always loved the Hotel MS chain but i will no longer be using them when i travel to Colombia. I would really not recommend this hotel, the service was really bad for a returning customer.

Loved it!
Excellent hotel for this price. Is a short cab ride from other desirable areas of the city, but that accounts for the price here. Plus, the hotel is a five minute walk from a huge grocery store and ten minute walk from two shopping malls - each with a cinema. Room was very quiet, dark (blackout curtains), and the air conditioning worked great. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed it. Breakfast upstairs was great, and they'll make several eggs however you want them. I also used the sauna, which wasn't bad but not ideal for those who enjoy saunas. Overall an excellent hotel.

It is a small hotel, with new facilities, very clean. The personnel is really nice, just 5 floors 1 elevator and restaurant on the top (6th floor)

The hotel is located in a quiet and very safe area of Cali. The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous. The rooms are very clean, quaint and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is fair but does need to have more variety. The hotel is located close to restaurants, grocery store, transit and Chipichape Mall. Chipichape Mall has everything you need and more.

Hotel MS Estacion Chipichape
I felt really confortable in the hotel. The staff made a great service and the location of the hotel is very secure and near of a mall and a supermarket. They have a beautiful terrace.

The hotel is very clean and secured, Staff is very professional , breakfast excellent, overall is a good hotel. the only problem that i see is that they charged for a lot things in your room, phone calls (local calls) snacks and laundry, water, if you not careful you can have a big bill at the end of your stay. En general tuvimos una muy buena estadía en este hotel. El personal muy dispuesto a colaborar. Muy buen desayuno. Excelente ubicación en Chipichape, aunque cerca de los centros comerciales el lugar es muy tranquilo para descansar.

El hotel es pequeño pero las personas son muy amables, me dieron consejos para planear ciertas salidas, lo único malo es que si te hospedas en el segundo piso escuchas el ruido de la calle.

Cobro de seguro hotelero sin indicarlo!
No me fue informado al ingresar al establecimiento que sería cobrado seguro hotelero, el cual NO es obligatorio y debe ser informado. Al realizar el pago cobraron el seguro e indicaron que como no pregunte ellos lo cobran, me parece que no es correcta la forma de actuar y si lo hacen de forma premeditada. Por la forma en que fui tratado es un hotel al que no regresaré y no sugeriré.

El desyuno estuvo bien, la habitacion es comoda y todo esta bien, excepto cuando llueve. Se oye eco entra las habitaciones que su ventana es interna en el edificio, toda la noche se oye el goteo fuerte y constante de la lluvia sobre tejas, es imposible dormir asi. Hay unas tejas transparentes plasticas internas y sobre ellas cae el goteo de la lluvia y suena el eco constante sobre las tejas, toda la noche, asi ya haya dejado de llover....fue imposible dormir.

Buen balance costo/beneficio
Nos quedamos en 4 habitaciones, en general bien el hotel y el servico. Las habitaciones que dan al exterior les llega mucho ruido de motos y carros por una institución educativa hasta las 11:00 pm aprox. Cuando llueve las gotas hacen mucha bulla en unas tejas plásticas lo cual dificulta el sueño a los que tienen sueño debil. Nos tocó un construcción al lado y desde las 6 am escuchas camiones y obreros trabajando. Espero que cuando terminen se reduzca el ruido. El desayuno bueno y así mismo la atención del personal. Las habitaciones son cómodas, amplias, buen amoblado. Es un lugar donde con un balance muy saludable costo beneficio. La ubicación fue muy buena para dirigirse hacia la zona norte que era hacia donde teníamos nuestras actividades.

El trato fue lo mejor, si van a llegar en Cali del avión, marquen al hotel y soliciten que Jose los recoja desde hay empieza el servicio de calidad.

Atención a requerimiento
En general el servicio recibido fue bueno, pero tuve dificultad con la facturación, pues por efectos del pago a través de Hoteles.com no me facturaron el total del valor cancelado, es decir, en la factura figura el pago de impuestos y seguro hotelero que se se cancela al momento de ingresar, pero no se refleja en el valor total cancelado. 20 días después de hacer la solicitud de otorgarme una factura con todo el valor cancelado (pago a Hotels.com y el pago en efectivo en hotel), no han podido solucionar internamente ese tema.
