My 4 night stay at the Hotel Blackfoot was exceptional. The hotel is crisp and modern offering all the amenities that a business traveller, such as myself, would require. The staff is warm, friendly, accommodating and always going that extra mile to make your stay is that much more comfortable. My room was clean and the décor is up to date. Dining at this hotel is an exceptional experience, straying from the usual just enough to keep you going back again and again.
This hotel is well located near major arterial roads for travel by car. The area around is nondescript malls mostly and of poor walkability. The breakfast buffet was very good and there are a couple of lounge and restaurant options within the hotel. The outdoor pool was well-used. The staff was very efficient and responded well to friends' nighttime complaint about noisy neighbours in an adjoining room. Although the hotel is now completely non-smoking, our room smelled as though it had recently been a smoking room. the in-house bakery at the hotel is a gem. There is an excellent Indian restaurant nearby - the Surahi, that I would highly recommend.
Booked Holiday Inn on south Macleod Trail thinking it was the one on 39th Ave. Wanted that location for ease of access to LRT for a meeting.
Got to hotel but the one we booked at (south of Anderson Rd) would not allow us to cancel in favor of the right Holiday Inn. I think hotel descriptions should be more specific. I also think Holiday Inns should cooperate in such cases.
Hotel stay I self was great always with Holiday Inn
Very nice hotel, located close to downtown as well a large shopping mall and major restaurant Avenue( 17 Ave ).
Hot breakfast daily and very helpful and friendly staff. Very good rates. Presently being redecorated without inconvenience Nguyen guests.
Definately planning to make it my Calgary destination in future.
Better value than the Delta.
