Millennium hotel

Posted 30-Aug-2014
Pros: Only the location
Cons: Housekeeping on all levels.(in rooms) Lobby, and pool area seem fine.
Location: Walden galleria for shopping
Our first room was adjoining to another room. After a fairly long drive and border issues we just wanted to relax in our room. All we could hear was whatever was going on next door. Not the guests fault, doors just paper thin. As reviewed carpets stained etc but I can overlook that at the price. We requested a room change so were put on the 4th floor. Room was quiet as not an adjoining one. Carpets same condition. Beds only had 2 pillows each where our first room had 5 each bed. Again, I can overlook that. In morning when I started the shower, the tub quickly filled and would not drain. I am NOT about to fish out someone else's hair. Very disappointed. Safe to assume that our second visit to this hotel is definitely our last.

good location

I have stayed here several times and really only had one semi bad experience. I am surprised it doesn't get better reviews than it does.

OK for not planning on staying in a hotel

Pros: The location to the airport. If you like to shop the big mall is right there. The rate was good.
Cons: See above. Everything. Dingy feel, bathroom is terribly in need of updgrades. Find sheets that fit the beds and blankets that aren't worn out.
Location: The Walden Galleria mall is a parking lot walk away. Cabello's across the street. Sits at intersection of major interstate. Not a pretty area.
Arrived in Buffalo to move my son into an apartment that turned out to be a disaster. Left us homeless, needing a place to stay for a couple of days. Not much available in the area due to college move in. We were grateful the Millennium had a room available for a decent rate. It is clearly an old hotel. Rough around the edges. There was a glass sitting on the floor outside our room that had not been picked up yet by room service. Room faced out onto the parking lot, ground floor. It seemed clean, but the bathroom is in need of updating. Door kept getting stuck (had to use two hands to pull it open) and clearly had water damage. Faucets in sink need adjusting, hot water would fade out. Sink cracked. The shower/bath faucet was sticky to touch and needs updating. Clean up the old/moldy grout. Only give one wash cloth and three towels. Strange, if 4 people can fit in the room. Could smell cigarette smoke but couldn't find where it was coming from. Sheets didn't fit mattress; not sure mattress fit box spring. Bedspreads were on haphazardly and looked way too big. Blankets were worn in places, almost holes; stain on one, wasn't sure if it was blood or nail polish. I've been in worse, but wouldn't come back. The air conditioner blows very cold air. Couldn't get it to blow warmer air, even after turning it up to 80, so just turned it off. Cool enough outside not to need it much. I've stayed in worse, but most likely wouldn't stay there again or any other Millenni

Rather a motel

Posted 22-Aug-2014
The hotel and room were dimly lit. There was a mild smell in the room. The hall carpet is not flat and buckled. I tripped over the carpet. The bed was horrible. The most uncomfortable hotel mattress I've ever slept on. Springy and noisy whenever you move. And the room was freezing no matter how high you put the heat. I just don't think it worked or maybe you can't warm and room with a brick and cinder block walls.

Meh

This hotel is in desperate need of a tune up. Renos, upgrades....all necessary. There's no fridge in the room and what hotel doesn't provide breakfast nowadays? The rooms are OLD, the bathroom is disgusting and needs to be gutted and redone. For the price we paid, I definitely don't think we got our money's worth. :(

Wonderful Surprise

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Location: There is a mall right next door with a movie theater, and restaurants all around.
When looking for a last minute hotel, there weren't too many options, and what was left had bad reviews. This hotel had a low rating, so I was skeptical about booking it. Turns out, it was a great hotel. Great location, clean and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Not my favorite

Pros: The location had a lot of restaurants nearby with a mall right next door. It was quiet and not in a scary location.
Cons: Please invest in some good pillows.
Location: I stayed here to go to Niagara Falls, which is about a 25 mile drive away. There are many restaurants nearby as well as a mall next door.
This is an aging hotel that still holds some of its grandeur, though in some ways is just old and tired. The carpet in my room had a line all around the edge of dust, where the vacuum couldn't reach. The chair at the desk was vinyl, and ripped, desk scratched up. Functionally ok, but I would probably pass this one by if I knew in advance what I was getting. Bed not too bad, but pillows sadly lacking, hard and not comfortable. Shower was nice, towels plentiful and bathroom clean.
