"This was such a find! Stayed one night with friends in a private room while we hiked in the Brecon Beacons and it was perfect for what we needed. Perks included - plenty of drying rooms (it rained the whole time we were there so this was very much needed!), restaurant and bar, cosy lounge with fire and board games, and a sink in the room. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and great location. If I'm in the area again I will definitely come back."

"The Danywenallt Hostel is in a lovely position. The route to the hostel is well signed making it easy to locate but the access road may cause some cars to "bottom out." The staff were friendly and very helpful. "

"I booked this place knowing little other than it was close enough to Cardiff for us to stay after the Bruce Springsteen concert. It was very well appointed, with a well equipped kitchen / dining room, spacious wet room, large bedroom and lounge with a sofa bed. And a hot tub in the communal garden area! "Fantastic place to stay, unwind and be at one with nature! Not quite in the middle of nowhere but close enough. There are shops locally but we took what we needed for our stay so we could get away from everything. We ditched the car and walked everywhere. The forest is on your doorstep and a nature reserve just over the road.. Ideal place if you have dogs, enjoy walking and want to get away from daily life, just be aware of the hills. "What a lovely friendly hotel. We were welcomed the minute we arrived-we asked to see the room on arrival as we had been dissappointed on the last hotel we had seen. The young gentleman on reception was great and couldn’t have been more helpful. We checked in then left for our planned day. On our return later in the evening we were greeted by a lovely lady who couldn’t have been more helpful. The following morning we had breakfast which was great and so was the service - a lovely lady. If you’re planning a stay here - do it! You won’t be disappointed with this clean lovely place to stay in Wales with great friendly staff. We are planning another stay there later in the year when next come to wales. Thank you everyone"
