"This is a good property in the heart of the historic district of Sarlat. We had great support from Valentin and Clois when we were there. The room was in the attic with a small kitchenette, which we used for breakfast 2 of the days that we were there. We needed a property with a garage and booked one with them. What we did not realize that this was a several minute walk from the property itself. There also was no convenient place to bring up the car to unload luggage since there was a fair going...

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."

Excellent hotel with magnificent views

"We had a wonderful stay!! The hotel was extremely clean. The rooms and bathrooms are completely updated. Our room had a patio, and the views were breathtaking. We included breakfast with our stay, which I highly recommend - it was fantastic!! Will definitely come back!"

"L'Esplanade is in the heart of Domme, a charming place and town with a wonderful view of the valley. Parking is an issue. We left our car in a metered space (without paying) for about 45 minutes while we were checking in and received a ticket. The staff directed us to an unmetered spot on the street and we left it there for the rest of our two day stay. BUT we were there off season (week after Easter). If you are going to stay there during a busier time you should research the parking options and costs."

Great central location for Sarlat and the Dordogne

"The hotel is in an excellent location with a 5 minute walk to the historical centre of Sarlat. The hotel has recently been beautifully refurbished. Breakfast is of a very high standard and great value for money. There is public paid parking in front of the hotel and you can also book paid secure parking from the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is a bar area that is competitively priced. We would definitely stay here again if in the area."
