"This is a lovely property on the edge of the Broads. It was very clean and comfortable, and well equipped, and the host was very helpful. There is easy access to Norwich and the coast, and some lovely walks into the Broads from the doorstep. There isn't a shop in the village, but Acle is less than 10 minutes drive and has a small supermarket, pubs and takeaways. The big supermarkets in Great Yarmouth are only 15 minutes away."

Spotlessly clean, and a lovely welcome from the owner which included a vase of flowers, some cookies, and a personal message in scrabble letters on the fridge! Everything you need is provided for. The views from the back of the cottage were superb. We were blessed with wonderful weather which made the whole week even more perfect. "The hosts were very helpful. I've never stayed anywhere with a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream and a disposable razor in the bathroom. The location was a 10 minute walk out of town, but there was a chippy nearby. Rather than eat my takeaway in my room I was invited to use the dining area and supplied with cutlery. The breakfast was good as well."

Book a cab in advance, as many cab “companies” are just a single driver and waits can be long when it’s busy. Host offers a variety of cereal in the morning. Some rooms are up a steep flight of stakes, and host offered help carrying suitcases upstairs. Mattress was on the bouncier side which you may find uncomfortable if sharing the bed. "Excellent experience, host Sue and Tony, couldn't do enough for you, really nice couple. Room we stayed in was a double with ensuite facilities, very clean and comfortable. Stayed 3 nights, price included breakfast and parking permit. Breakfast was excellent, all sorts, cereal, cooked breakfast, continental, etc. Easy walking distance to beach and shops. I would definitely recommend staying here."

Only slight disappointment was that the advertised fridge was not in the room; I was expecting this to keep drinks cold and for packed lunches. Check in was done online and very easy. "The Hotel staff are amazing and very friendly, the room was spotless. The bathroom very small, fan was very noisy at night when you went to the toilet and the drains kicked up a stink in the morning when everyone started having a shower from other rooms. Shirt of plug sockets for a family room.where everyone wants to charge phones over night. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. "
