“Robert”
Good hotel with friendly staff. The location is a bit outside the centre (15 minute walk). The room and breakfast were both good. Only downside for us was the garage which can only be accessed via valet (in case you need to leave the dog in the car for a short time this can be a bit inconvenient).
“Great service, location, value”
Highly recommend this hotel, and special thanks to Cindy at the front desk who went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with travel arrangements. This is a very well-run, nicely located property.
“very nice”
quite pleased with visit hotel met personal requests anld staff was knowledgeable and helpful
“Very Satisfied”
The hotel is very well located near the train station and right next to the old town area. Everything is within easy walking distance. Staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
“Great moderately priced hotel!”
The hotel's staff is superb! The ladies at the reception desk made one's arrival a pleasant experience. Ms. Cindy was the agent who registered us and not only made us feel welcome, but also gave us suggestions on what to see in the city. Had it not been for her we would have missed it since we were there for a very short time. The young woman who took care of our room was also very pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was good and the room in which it was served was very pleasant and very clean. The staff are good not only for the hotel's image, but also for the charming city of Strasbourg.
“Outstanding Value”
This is an amazing hotel that is rated three stars which is hard to imagine as it seems far more like a four plus star property. This hotel is extremely well managed and having travelled to many countries over the years I have to say that this is one of the most comfortable and enjoyable stays I have ever had in a hotel. I truly felt like an honoured guest. Every whim was catered to and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job - this is rare indeed! The room was immaculate, well appointed, very clean, quiet and comfortable in every respect. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. An extensive and varied menu of items that were continuely replenished and the Hotel Manager was seen quite frequently checking in on the dining room and the supplies of the buffet.
“A great location if coming to Strasbourg by train”
My room was very comfortable. It faced onto an internal courtyard and so was quiet - I suspect rooms on the street might be a little noisier. The hotel corridors are full of antiques/collectables and the building has a lot more character than most chain hotels. The only unfortunate notes are the alreadt dated looking breakfast buffet that appears to have been installed a few years ago ruining the wood panelled "Old Alsace" feel of the breakfast room and the similarly banal refit of the lobby bar, where the hard surfaces makes the area quite noisy. I was a little concerned given the closeness of this station to Strasbourg's main station that the surrounding streets might be a bit seedy. However both the five minute walk from the station and the fifteen minute walk over the river into the historic town centre appeared to be safe and easy.
“A nice little hotel - in a bad area”
We arrived late and found the staff helpful and cooperative. The room was adequate and the bathroom clean and neat. We were less than impressed with the area - we walked around to find a meal and found it shabby and run down. We eventually ate at an overpriced under qualitied bistro nearby. Its a shame this hotel is not situated in a nicer area. Breakfast was adequate if uninspired.
“Very good option”
Nice hotel, near train station. Very good option. Breakfast buffet so good.
“Great place.”
I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. Fantastic location. Excellent staff at the front desk. Nice breakfast room and beautiful sitting room. Rented two rooms that were quite different from each other but each very nice. And the deal we got through Expedia was a real bargain..
