“This is just fine”
This is a hotel that has passed it's prime but offers good value in the heart of old Strasbourg. It's an easy walk from the main station and only a few blocks from some of the primary sights. While the hotel decor is a little dated the room - superior double - was roomy and comfortable, with the usual facilities. I had to ask for an iron and board but these appeared within a couple of minutes. The hotel is located in an 'ordinary' part of the city, so not surrounded by lots of tourist haunts - a plus in my book - but there is a boulangerie on the square and a choice of places to eat within a block. The city tram network is accessible just one street away. Overall, this hotel is perfectly adequate without being flash, and good value when compared to other hotels in the same neighborhood.
“Good Value Hotel”
Location was great- right in the middle of Strasbourg within walking distance to everything (train station, tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, tram, etc). Room was big for a European hotel and was clean. Only problem was after returning one night our key wouldn't work and after a lot messing with it the concierge came up with some tools and we worked on it with screw drivers and had to pry the casing off the door knob so we could use a key instead of a key card to get in. Once we were in it was fine and we used the key, but would have been ideal if the door worked the first time. the staff was very good- all spoke english- and was very helpful.
“Not Bad”
Has parking spaces in the basment
“very satisfied hotel”
nice location, comfortable and reasonable price, recommend this hotel to others
“Great Location, some problems”
This hotel is in a great location and the staff was as helpful as they could be given our problem. We plugged in our computer when we got the room and it blew a fuse and the power when out. The front desk couldn't fix it, but they did give us another room right away. We had to move our stuff by flashlight. Breakfast was pricey, so we ate out (which isn't a bad thing - we tend to get fat while traveling with all the buffet breakfasts!). The room had a balcony which was a nice feature. The hotel itself was hard to find - in a maze of one way streets and our navigation system couldn't manage it... Perhaps best to download a map...
“Find somewhere else...”
Having come to the end of a two week road trip around Europe and staying in some excellent hotels and guest houses on the way for much less, this was by far the most overpriced and least impressive night of the entire trip. Staff at the hotel were initially pleasant but once we complained about the relentless buzzing of the air conditioning unit (even once turned off), they became rude and unhelpful and offered no support or alternative rooms. The rooms are small with horrific views across the neighbouring office block. To top off an uncomfortable night's sleep the breakfast (price €14) was severely lacking in choice or quality and was certainly overpriced. We would strongly advise against spending so much as a cent in this dire excuse for a hotel. Spend an extra tenner from the outset and find somewhere else; all of the other major hotels are very close to the centre too.
“Too expensive for what it is”
The proposed room had a pitiful interior view; they then proposed another one which was fine. Hotel gave impression of decor not finished; a bit of a mess. Queen bed was "undersized"; they claimed that was the normal European queen size!! Not true; we live in Europe. Very convenient location. Garagde parking expensive and very "tight" if you have a big car.
“I would stay there again.”
We were overall satisfied with this hotel, given its convinient location. We were a bit disappointed, however, because our room did not look like any of the rooms shown on the hotel's website. The reason is that not all of the hotel rooms were renovated and we happened to stay in one of the old rooms. The room was very spacious though.
“Great Location”
This is a delightful hotel right in the center of where you want to be. The eateries within two blocks are fantastic. Rooms are large and clean, and service was excellent.
“Comfortable place to stay”
This hotel was convenient, central, comfortable and clean. It was a 5 min walk to train station which is great. There was also a laudrimat minutes away as well.
