“Pirate Inn nice family hotel”

Very clean. Offthe main road but only just. Next to the new shopping complex and not far from Oistins, St Lawrence Gap or Bridgetown. These are all accessible by buses or taxis

“Not impressed ... old, worn out and disorganised!”

Overnight between cruise and early flight home to California next morning. Arrived 1.00 p.m. Told check-in at 3.00 p.m. Back at 3.00 p.m. no room ready. Eventually given a room at 5.00 p.m. by the manager Renee upon complaining, who said that check-in starts at 2.00 p.m. I was asked for a further US$10 for air conditioning, which I had not known about from Expedia and refused to pay, she fully understood. Paid deposit for in-room safe key. Room clean, but very old and worn out, whole place is! King bed is two singles pushed together! Hopeless shower with poor water pressure and NO HOT WATER! Receptionist said that restaurant open, turned up for dinner and found that restaurant had been closed all day! Plenty of eateries nearby - few mins walk. Booked wake-up call for 4.00 a.m. and received it at 4.45 a.m. when my taxi driver Ian arrived, who also works at the Inn and must have woken the receptionist! Local beach and boardwalk just few mins walk away, stunning! Hotel could be terrific if it got it's act together! Sweet place, nice staff but very old and crusty, EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR BEACH but way too disorganised and unreliable ... spoiled my stay! Owner needs to re-invest in this property to bring it and service actually to quoted star rating. I was only there for 12 hours, would hate to think what a day or more would be like.

“Friendly and welcoming hotel”

Good value for money. Clean tidy simple rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff that clearly enjoy their work - receptionist there for 18 years. Manager friendly and efficient. Dealt with our query without fuss. 100 yards to road to catch buses/taxis to Bridgetown (20 mins). Another 50 yards to beach. Shopping malls with banks and eating places etc. within easy walking distance along that road. Pool a bit small (7 strokes per length) but it is 2/3 star. Definitely not enough loungers and space to put more out. If you did not claim one before 6.30am you might as well go out for the day! We had a great holiday in Barbados (first time) and if we went back would certainly consider Pirate's Inn as first choice.

“Oceanus Repair”

The folks at Pirate's Inn go out of their way to assist you with your stay. The only thing I can say that needs to be addressed is the fact that air conditioning is extar, and should be offered when booking the room (extra US$10/day.)

“Great location”

If you are looking for safe, clean accomodation with no frils at a decent price, this is your place. The location can't be beat with shops, (grocery and otherwise) and beaches all within walking distance. You can get a bus at almost any time around the corner that will take you into Bridgetown, Oistens or the Gap. The ride is aprox. 20 min. Staff could be a little more friendly but they are at least very helpful.
