“Excellent service, good locale, needs a redo”
Great service, staff tried to please and were very pleasant. Location good, suburban, for going to universities. Twenty minutes to downtown Shops and restaurants in hotel complex and nearby Parking is in house and free Wi Fi is free and ez to hook up to ONe cup of coffee each in the room for the morning...convenient room was large and roomy. lots of hangers hallways smelly with a sweet smell from rug shampoo...hallway rugs stained Old style televisions...disappointing Adjustable Number beds...husband liked it, it did nothing for me... Room clean, linens fresh, plentiful and neat.... bathroom tile needs regrouting for discoloration wooden furniture in room was worn out and chipped.... decor very dated country style, maybe early 1990's .... check in area is not well marked w/ signage..came in thru basement garage -elevators old and REALLY REALLY slow...eight minute wait not unusual..someone waiting for the elevator got impatient and went in search of a staircase up...when the elevator arrived five minutes later he was in it when the doors opened...I couldn't help bursting out laughing! We would stay again because location near friends. Not the greatest building plant but we loved exploring Baltimore.
“needs refurbishing”
We arrived at 6:30 pm. check in was fine. there is a shopping mall attached to the hotel but everything was closed by 7pm. We ate at the hotel bar. food was standard, nothing special. room decor was old fashion although they had a sleep number bed. Sleep number was not a luxury as it really didn't make a big difference. My main complaint would have to be the climate control system. The instructions are very confusing and no very well phrased. It says that the system is either on heat or Air conditioner but cannot be both. If you are hot the open a window!! Could not get the room to cool so I figured it was on heater so I had to turn off the unit and open a window. Not safe as the only thing between me and the outside was a mosquito screen. I didn't feel very safe with the window wide open (no grill sor safety bars).
“Would Stay Again!”
Everything was great - we loved it.
“Convenient suburban hotel for downtown Baltimore”
I got an excellent package deal from Expedia for a rental car and this hotel. I had meetings in downtown Baltimore and stayed at the Raddison Cross Keys for 2 nights. It's about 15 minutes to downtown, by car. They offered free parking for my rental car. The room was clean and the bed comfortable (sleep number/adjustable). The room was quiet and hotel in a quiet area. The quiet area is key because my room was over 80F when I checked in. The instructions about heating/cooling the room didn't work, so I kept the window open during my entire stay. The room was large, with vaulted ceilings (on the 4th, top floor) and rooms have fee wireless internet service. The Village Square Cafe is next door and offers great breakfast and coffee, if you can wait until 7:30 am, when they open.
“Adequate accomidations”
Great location and enjoyed the shopping area attached to the hotel.
“A comfortable experience in Baltimore, Maryland”
The area surrounding the hotel was great. It felt like you were away from the city and surrounded in a nice personal area with different outlet stores and a nice restaurant. The room I stayed in looked like I was in a suit. It had a nice lounge area, and a sleepnumber bed. I was in paradise. If you want to experience a hotel that is nice and quiet, then come to this one. The staff is very friendly here too.
“Don't know how this hotel recieved 3 1/2 stars”
We were in town for business and pleasure. The carpets throughout the entire hotel were old and musty smelling. The vending machines on our floor where out of order our entire stay and the ice machine was making such a loud noise we could here it in our room. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and comfortable except for...the carpet was old and musty smelling. The cleaning staff was great and went out of their way to get us what we needed. We had placed a do not disturb sign on our door our 2nd day and they left a bag with clean towels hanging on our door. Now for the pool...the good news is there was a lifeguard...the bad news is the pool area was not clean and very worn looking. The storage area for pool supplies was exposed and very dirty, it looked like an old unused storage shed and it was right there next to the pool, open and even looked unsafe. The location is great, attached to a wonderful shopping area---ladies upscale clothing. I do not know when the last time they were rated but due to the fact that they need an update especially ...sorry...again with the carpet....a new carpet.
“Nice hotel”
The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. The only issue that the water has a strong chlorine smell, so the room smelled a bit like a swimming pool. We weren't in the room too much, so it was not a big deal.
“Close to JHU with good value”
The hotel could do with some upgrades such has new furntiture, more upto-date TV etc. Also the bathrooms should have a fan. I travel for business and on the west coast I see almost every hotel has a flat screen HDTV.
“baltimore home away from home”
suited all my needs handicappped well great plaza with very good shopping next time i will go to red door spa only bad mark would be room service quality. they brought breakfast on a nasty old cart with no cloth There is a wonderful natural cafe in the plaza that does a much better job with good quality natural food whole wheat fruit good coffee and much better even in paper!
