“LUVLY STAY”
I WAS REALLY WORRIED AS I READ REALLY BAD COMMENTS BEFORE TRAVELLING. WE ARRIVED REALLY LATE BUT OUR ROOMS WERE ALL AS WE REQUESTED GROUND FLOOR ROOMS WITH WALK IN SHOWERS, AS WE TOOK MY 83 YR OLD MOTHER IN LAW AND 81 YEAR OLD UNCLE.THE STAFF WERE WONDERFUL, THE LOCATION LOVELEY AND THE GARDENS BEAUTIFUL.WE UPGRADED TO FULLY INCLUSIVE AS WE WERE HAPPY JUST TO CHILL OUT FOR OUR STAY BEFORE OUR JOURNEY HOME.
“NICE OLDER HOTEL”
GREAT LOCATION ON THE BEACH, VERY GOOD BUFFET BREAKFAST, FRIENDLY STAFF AND FANTASTIC WALK ALONG THE BEACH TOWARD NUSA DUA. THE HOTEL IS DATED BUT VERY COMFORTABLE WITH VERY GOOD BATHROOM. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO WALK ALONG THE ROAD AT NIGHT THOUGH AS THE FOOTPATH IS ALMOST NON EXISTANT SO TAKE A TAXI. THE MASSAGE AND PEDICURE ETC SERVICES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE BUT THE PLACE OPPOSITE IS GOOD WITH BARGAIN PRICES.
“Very Lush”
Great service, tropical and lush. A nice escape from the bustle of Kuta. Good prices, excellent food
“Great place to stay”
Hotel was lovely and staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room overlooked the beautiful garden and was very spacious and comfortable. (Not all rooms had a good view). Pool was very nice. Private beach was also good with loungers and umbrellas. Breakfast was great! A good variety to suit everyone. Transport was readily available - taxis or hire cars with a driver for the day. Reasonable market next door. ATM and money exchange across the street. Dinners were mainly buffet but could order from the all day menu if you wanted just a small meal. I would have preferred a few local restaurants within walking distance but we were in a street of resorts. Could have gone to eat at those for variety . Clientele was mainly couples or families, so not rowdy in any way. A very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.
“Not impressed”
Stayed in the Melia Benoa from August 19-21st of August. Hotel is outdated, there are plenty of other choices in the Nusa Dua area for the same price that are nicer, Beach area was not what we expected, Lagoon with stagnant water. We stayed at Novotel Nusa Dua for our first 3 days, it was cheaper, newer and in a better location. Benoa is out of the gated Nusa Dua and is a dirter area. Whereas Nusa Dua is a gated community with western style streets and security. The Nusa Dua area has nice shopping and food at the Bali Collection, and is a quiet area for those who want to relax and be away from all the noise. If you are looking for more excitement I would recommend the Kuta area. Nusa Dua is safe and great for families, I would recommend looking for a hotel in that area vs. Benoa which is a few minutes north of Nusa Dua.
“Friendly staff, small beach...”
The staff at Melia Benoa were very hardworking, polite, and professional. But their service couldn't make up for the fact that the beach was very small (shared with some kind of a boat yard). The food was delicious but came in very small portions, and alcohol is not available at the pool bar until later in the day. The rooms are well laid out and nicely decorated, but the air conditioning is not central and didn't sufficiently cool the room.
“Quiet and comfortable”
Booking online, sight unseen resorts has the potential to be a disaster. We were nervous about our first holiday together after the kids have grown and ending up in a dodgy place. This resort was FANTASTIC !!! We arrived late evening, the allocated room was not as requested, Garden View King bed etc. We were overlooking the bar terrace and this had the potential to be noisy. They moved us with little effort - to a garden view room. Up a floor and away from the dining, bar area. The staff fantastic, always happy and willing to help. We did not have an "All Inclusive" band, ate at a nearby restaurant on the beach most nights Kendi Kunning, brilliant food and safe. Breakfast buffet was more than adequate with ample choice. Location, the top end of Nusa Dua. Don't go further up the peninsula. To many Jet skis, Parasailing speed boats, very noisy. This end, is clean and quiet. Local shops 5 mins away and a mini mart with ATM across the street. It's 30 - 40 mins to Kuta by taxi. 10 mins to the Village and shopping is developing up the pensulia In short, Yes, I would go back tomorrow and I am recommending it.. The resort was not full & I cannot account for any change that may bring, there was space for all by the beach or pool. Make sure you book a non smoking room if you don't smoke
“OK stay”
Hotel is fine to stay in. One of the older ones in Benoa but well maintained. The staff were not as friendly or helpful as those we have stayed in around Bali. Generally I would rate our experience around 3.5-4
“Beautiful, relaxing. Would definitely return”
The smiles of the staff are the first to greet you when you drive up. The open air hotel is very beautiful. The rooms clean, large, and very comfortable. The clean pool was very nice, 30 second walk to the private beach, very nice. The beach roped off swimming area was small, but there are options to walk down the beach to more areas, so not really a problem. 24 hour restaurant catered to my insomniac travel partner. Decent gym if you want it. Lovely staff will to help in every way. When the room booked was not ready, we were upraded to an executive suite till ours was ready. at no charge. Would definitely go back. Security at front gate checked all vehicles coming in, gives a sense of comfort. Close to Nusa Dua for shopping. But traffic to get to Kuta or Denpassar is crazy. Avoid peak hours if possible.
“I will recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Bali”
We visited Bali last week and stayed in this Hotel for 5 days the rooms were big. clean and comforatable, the service was excellent and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. I will go back again and I will recommend Melai Benoa at Nusa Dua (Bali) to anybody.
