“Satisfied”
my stay was short, but room was clean and staff was friendly
“customer service bad”
I had reminded hotel staff three times that I required a late checkout time. Twice by phone and once in person. I was told that was fine but there would be an extra charge, which I agreed to. Next day by noon they were already trying to put my husband out of the room ( I was gone on business across town ). I had to rush back because by 1:30 pm he said he had to vacate the room or be charged another day. By the way, my husband has a disability and was waiting on the sidewalk with our belongings when I pulled up. I did get an apology and they waved the late check out fee but I will not return to this hotel or recommend it.
“Austin 11_26_2011”
Nice hotel for an overnight stay
“Few mins right outside downtown”
We think it's good location outside downtown Austin. We drove in town to 6th street at night. Bkfst is fine, but an old lady at bkfst station is such a hard worker, cleaning up all the times, we like her.
“Ausitn”
Good and clean.
“Good Deal”
The hotel was a real value. The folks were friendly (it was Austin, TX, so that may have had something to do with it). The breakfast was good and the room comfortable. The WiFi was painfully slow and if you are coming from the North on I35 it is a little tricky getting off. But as hotels go, I was impressed with the overall experience.
“Location wasn't what we hoped....”
The hotel was fine, but it was a $20 taxi trip to 6th street.... I was hoping it was a little closer. That is the main reason I wouldn't go back.
“Comfortable Hotel”
The hotel is located near the airport. Liked the staff, as they were kind and helpful. The breakfast was good, buffet style. Its worth staying there given the cost and what the hotel offers. I would certainly book there again.
“Not Impressed”
Not sure if I just got a bad room but I wasn't impressed. I chose this hotel for the price but ended up spending more on cab fare just to get anywhere. The lobby was clean and the front desk staff was very nice and very helpful. The carpet in the room was filthy and I don't think they have ever cleaned under the bed. I wonder if the previous guest knows their shoe is still under the bed? When the toilet flushed it sounded like a tea kettle and the paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling off. The upholstery on the chair in the room was so filthy and covered with stains that I would not sit on it. I assumed that if they did not clean under the bed or the chairs in the room that the bedspread hadn't been cleaned either so I folded it up and put it in the corner. Non smoking floor but the people in the room accross the hall smoked all night. The breakfast was good and the lobby was clean. Based on how dirty my room was I would not recommend this hotel.
“Not bad for the price”
This hotel wasn't bad for the price. Traveled to Austin to attend a UT game. The Ramada was conveniently located off the interstate and not very far from downtown. The hotel is a bit old and the bathroom did nothing to make me want to come back. The roach that I saw upon our exit from our room didn’t help with the rooms appeal (or lack thereof). The breakfast was good and offered a nice variety including make your own waffles which were in the shape of the state of Texas, but I was glad that I didn’t see the roach until we were leaving.
