"Combined 2 Days in Dornoch Castle Hotel with 5 Days at Cottage in Tain after the wedding. The cottage has been modernised but still has some original features. It is spacious, comfortable & well equipped with everything you could possibly need. If you enjoy baking, utensils are all there, including a Food Mixer. The garden is private & was an added bonus as we enjoyed great weather. The shower room was a good size, great shower, Both bedrooms were large with comfortable beds. Cottage was...

"we loved this cottage and the facilities fore guests to use. The views are stunning with changing weather conditions., and daily visits from the dear were fabulous. my granddaughters loved that part and played monopoly & hide and seek in the cottage daily. Dornoch Beach is a must visit, as it is stunning and the rock pools were explored thoroughly. I would love to be here for the winter with a roaring fire and provisions and a few good books, not moving to go anywhere. Lairg does not have much...

"The booking from start to finish with Robert was so easy and we really appreciated our early check in as we weren’t coming far. The house was amazing as was the huge effort put in to all the Christmas decorations. This property was fantastic and had everything (and more) we needed to enjoy our stay. The wine and goodies were much appreciated and I will honestly be recommending this beautiful house to others. Thanks so much"

Rosemount Bothy-Garve

"The cottage was perfect for our first couple of nights in Scotland. We explored sights in the highlands and came home each day to our cozy abode. We didn’t get a chance to try the awesome wood stove/cook top but it was a beautiful backdrop. Beds were comfy, shower had great pressure and beautiful grounds to explore or just look at. Check out Tarvie, just up the road, for your breakfast coffee, hot rolls and baked goods - their tablet is the best!"

"Love at first sight is an overused phrase. But for us seeing the cottage in the distance as we drove across the Mound on the A9, it really was. The cottage was perfect in every sense. Cozy, comfortable and set with stunning views all around. The owner has equipped with everything you need to make this a perfect holiday home and the bonus of very comfortable beds at the end of the day. There are so many great walks in the area that coming back to the fantastic hot tub makes it all worth while....

"A lovely quiet location with great views. An excellent centre for exploring the Black Isle including watching dolphins at Chanonry Point. Really enjoyed visiting Cromarty despite the oil rigs in Cromarty Firth."

Thistle Cottage, CrannachCottages

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cottage was quintessential Scottish and beautiful. Beds very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to have a coffee maker for those of us who would like a pot of coffee and didn’t have a dryer. Fortunately we were able to dry clothes in the glorious sunshine while we were in the Highlands. Strathpeffer was a lovely place to visit. Drove to Ullapool for the day, great day trip. Overall, highly recommend this beautiful spot!"

"Fabulous wee hut. Quiet and cosy with stunning views. Having a bath outside was just a treat. The owner is a really nice guy, lives near by and was happy to help when needed. As a female on my own I felt safe and happy. It was just the quiet peaceful break that I was looking for, so I ended up negotiating an extra two nights stay. I hope to be back soon."

"We have been country members of Tain Golf Club for twenty years. If you haven't played Tain, please put it on your next itinerary! We have been traveling in Scotland for many years. 2022 and 2023 was the first time we stayed for three months with NO car! So many places to visit where you can be fine walking from train station to accomodation to golf to market to restaurants. This cottage in Tain was perfect for us."

"This was a lovely little hut to stay in for a few nights. One double bed and then a pull out sofa bed. We didn't try the sofa bed, but the double was comfortable. The shower was great, and the towels provided were more than adequate. I didnt find the hair dryer until we were ready to leave. Its in a box under the bed. This is more suitable for a couple on their own, i think it would be hard to have young children in the hut. They are not equipped for toddlers. The microwave is at a hight that a...
