“Great place”
We had a great time, the location is beautiful, getting there is a little tricky. We hired a car, the "main" roads are quite winding, and it is quite a long way down a very steep track. Once you get there it is great - but don't expect to pop out to the shops or an offsite restaurant without quite a trip. The hotel arrange lots of trips and excursions, so if you want to see other sites on the island then you can easily arrange them even without a car. There is a reef in the bay with some interesting coral (quite a young reef, but a variety of types of coral and lots of fish), it is very shallow, so no need to scuba dive you can see it with a snorkel which you can hire from the dive shop at the beach. They also have sea kayaks for use of guests - and there are some completely deserted beaches only reachable by sea in kayak range. The rooms are lovely with AC and the food was all good.
“this resort is fantastic (if a bit isolated)”
The worst thing I can say about this resort is you can't walk from the beach to your room without going through the bar/restaurant. If that is the worst thing about somewhere you know it is pretty special. If you want to relax with your other half go there now. If you want a lively time with big nights out this isn't for you.
“Amazing”
Amazing bungalows...amazing food...amazing staff...amazing views over the Carribean Sea. If you want to chill out in a small, intimate, boutique hotel - this is definately the place to go. We loved it and would highly recommend it.
“Lovely hotel but too isolated”
Ti Kaye is a beautiful hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and do their best to make your stay memorable. Our room was spacious but a little dark. Our main problem was that the road leading to the hotel from the main road was almost impassable. Once in it was difficult to get out. This is fine if you just want to stay in the hotel but we would have liked to eat out. Tried it once but it took ages to get in and out of the hotel.
“Good getaway”
Great staff although I was a single traveller and felt that they would help a couple first then help me. It is a shame that the beach is public and at one point there were at least 10 boats in the bay and some come right up to the shore and 30 people jump in. Otherwise great hotel, very few mosquitoes compared to Stonefield Estate where I also stayed.
“OK but not spectacular”
Ti Kaye Village is a lovely hideaway hotel on St Lucia. It's got several villas dotted across the hilltop overlooking the sea and has access to a lovely little beach (you have to go down the hill via 100's of stairs to get to it, and back up them to the hotel). Our villa was quite near the reception so we didn't get any sunset views unfortunately but others might have done. The general pool is quite small but has plenty of sun loungers around it. One thing we were quite surprised about was there was no access to a bar or any service around the pool - you had to go through the main restaurant to find someone in the lobby to order anything. Also, we didn't use our plunge pool at all - maybe it's me but as no sun got to it due to all the trees overhead it was freezing! Dinner in the main restaurant and beach bar was ok, but not great for the price. The outdoor showers were an interesting experience; as long as you like frogs, gecko's and mosquito's you'll love it. Also, don't expect to be able to walk out of the hotel.. there's a very long windy gravel road out to the main road and then there's nothing around for miles. So if you want to venture out on you're own you'll need to hire a car/ take a taxi. Marigot Bay's the nearest bay, which is half an hour away, where several restaurants were based and Rodney Bay took about 45 mins from the hotel. Finally, the spa was lovely. We had a 'Lovers Escape' and it was awesome! So, all in all, a lovely holiday but not spectacular for us.
