Good hotel in a convenient location

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: Cleanliness of bedrooms and friendliness of staff. The staff are generally unfriendly and do not routinely say good morning/evening etc
Location: See above
Great swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers. Good pool bar with snacks etc at reasonable prices. Hotel is conveniently placed for several local beaches and nearby restaurants. Breakfasts at the hotel are really good with an extensive range of food to suit all tastes. The entertainment each night in the main bar is varied and of a suitable quality.

Close to Town But Far Enough Away To Relax

Posted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: Peaceful,, Clean....Well Laid Out... Breakfast.. Shuttle Bus service into town ( last drop off 18.30)
Cons: Tea & Coffee In Rooms Free use of the in room safe ( Charged at £2 daily) which I thought was a con for a 4 star hotel Pool Bar open in the evening
Location: Handy for old town and the quieter part of town You can walk into town in about 45 minutes Beach nearby
The hotel is about 3 miles from Albufeira Old Town... Set in its own grounds which are well maintained. Ample Sun Beds by the large pool... Pool bar ( although sadly it only opens 10-7 ) - a missed opportunity in my view as an ideal chance to open on an evening as opposed to sitting in the hotel cocktail bar with the entertainment provided. Breakfast was good in general and catered for most tastes ...both continental and full cooked breakfast available on a self serve buffet basis There is no a la carte menu in the evening just a themed buffet option... we chose to take the excellent free shuttle bus service from the hotel into town and then eat there and soak up the atmosphere before getting one of the many taxis back to the hotel ( £7 approx) Best of all you can chill out and relax to recharge your batteries..

Hotel is well located and very clean.

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: Location and grounds.
Cons: WiFi!!
Location: Go to Mama Mia for dinner. Well located to many great beaches. Old Town is nearby and worth going there for dinner.
Some of the staff was friendly and helpful. Some not so much. Food was mediocre, but consistent. WiFi was horrible. Had to go to one area of hotel to get it and then it was sporadic. Impressed with the lobby bar. Nice music and friendly staff. Great location. Hotel was nice and clean.

Nice Hotel But Not 4 Star

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: Quiet Location
Cons: Duvet could have been given quicker ; hotel shop should be stocked with essentials - including water at a resonable price.
Location: Lovely beach within walking distance , a great chinese restaurant Albuberfia and Marina nearby .
Nice Hotel - however not 4 star. Room not cleaned unitl late afternoon and not vaccumed for our entire stay. No tea or ironing facilities in room.Had to pay extra to use room safe - as well as internet in room. Took three days and constant reminders to be given an additional duvet. Hotel shop did not have tampax - had to go to local store! Was not warned about the music in our room from the bar which went on until 11.30 everynight. They did offer to move us - but to a smaller room- as we were three we stayed put and put up with the noise. If I had paid more for this hotel I would not have been happy - I guess you get what you pay for! However once you know what you are getting this was a nice enough hotel in a lovely location with a great beach within walking distance and at the price - would think about returning.

Nice hotel in the heart of Albufeira.

Posted 04-Sep-2014
Pros: Swimming pool Room was clean Not overly busy
Cons: Found an empty cigarette packet on our balcony. The transfer bus was overbooked twice, need to give out the right number as people were left behind.
Location: Nothing is near the hotel so the transfer bus is needed. Only 8 minutes from beach & main centre, so not a issue 7.50euros for a cab to main centre
Nice hotel that I would recommend others to stay in. Quiet and far enough away from the main centre, with a good pool both inside & out. Breakfast is decent, with lots of choice.

Very nice quiet location just outside of Albufeira

Posted 04-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, pool area, and the breakfast buffet.
Cons: Rooms are somewhat dated.
Location: You need to drive but as long as you have a car you can easily get anywhere in the Algarve. We even drove to Spain for the day
Pool area is so relaxing. Many options for sun or shade. Breakfast was fantastic, huge variety, something for everyone and more! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

An OK Hotel

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: The overall look of the hotel
Cons: See above
Location: Quiet location but there is a shuttle bus which travel to main area but times are not often enough
After staying in many 4 * hotels I cant help but compare my experiences. Things that could improve this hotel to a ok hotel to a great 4* hotel are as follows. 1, Some of the staff are miserable and seem to find it hard to break into a smile. 2, Evening entertainment is very poor but might appeal to an older (over 70) person. 3, The pool is freezing!!! even in August, 4, The breakfast buffet is just ok, they could improve by having a Chef cooking fresh pancakes, fried eggs, etc. and waiter serving coffee and tea which is typical in 4* hotels I have stayed in. 5, No free wifi in your room (you have to pay extra, or go to reception area for free) We didnt eat at night but glad if the breakfast was anything to go by.

Beach hotel

Posted 23-Aug-2014
Pros: Spacious, parking availability
Cons: No a-la-cart availability in restaurant, only buffet. Internet was only available in lobby for free and was very, very weak.
Location: Beach within driving distance and decent restaurants close by
Directions not very detailed. You see the sihn for the hotel and then you don't see it for so long that you think you have gone too far. Matresses, pillows, and curtains need upgrading. SHOWER MAT WAS MOLDY AND DIRTY!
