“third room was a charm”
I was tired when I arrived to check in at around 10:10pm, the receptionist logged out of the lobby computer (apparently "surfing")then told me to wait while she locked up the pool (approximately 3 - 5 minutes) - great customer service there. When we walked into the first room she gave us, it appeared to be in use (blankets & sheets pushed to the floor, towels on the floor. Going back to the desk, we were assured the room was not in use, but she did give us another that smelled absolutely horrible(smoke - we had requested non-smoking). I called from the rrom to complain - she said there were only suites available & they were more expensive - she did finally give us a suit for the same price...which I was thankful for. The mistakes in the room I can understand, the locking up the pool while I waited to check in, & the general attitude of "the room is NOT in use - the computer says so, & the "comprimise" that an acceptable room would be more expensive is VERY POOR customer service, I feel I was more of an interuption and annoyance than a guest. After we got the 3rd room the stay was perfectly fine & the people who checked me out in the AM were very nice - also breakfast was good
