Anar Restaurant - Serves traditional Persian dishes prepared using western techniques. The restaurant has views over the Persian Gulf.

Las Brisas - Outdoor dining underneath palm trees beside the east pool. This restaurant offers freshly prepared salads and grilled dishes.

Etoiles - Sophisticated restaurant, lounge, and club offering a balance of fusion fine dining and nightlife entertainment.

Barbecue Al Qasr - Outdoor restaurant located on the palace terrace. Open during the summer months only.

Please note that the New's Year Eve Dinner is compulsory for every guests staying at the hotel. The dress code is black tie only (dinner jacket and no jeans for men, evening dress for women).

“Luxury and space”

The Emirates Palace Hotel,Abu Dhabi is located on 1.3km of private beachfront.There are 2 totally different swimming pool areas and beautiful grounds.We enjoyed walking along the beachfront and within the hotel grounds. The room (Diamond) was spacious and decor grand. Meals and coffees were expensive but I think this is indicative of meal prices in Abu Dhabi. If you opt to stay here and eat at the hotel you must realise prices will be high. There is roadwork out the front of the hotel at present (Dec 2011) and this is inconvenient for anyone who wishes to walk outside the hotel grounds eg. to the nearby Marina Mall, but the taxis in Abu Dhabi are very cheap. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Emirates Palace Hotel.

When to go

Try to avoid the United Arab Emirates in their mid summer (June,July,August ) as temperatures are so high it is not pleasant outdoors. However you may find this is best time for bargains with hotel prices lower . Good time to travel is from November through to March.

Getting there

Etihad airways fly into Abu Dhabi from many cities in the world. Emirates Airways fly to Dubai and there is a land connection available to Abu Dhabi.

Taxis are cheap in Abu Dhabi

The Mosque, walk along the Corniche,Emirates Palace Hotel (this hotel does not restrict visitors like the Burj Al Arab in Dubai) and you are able to visit the hotel and take photos of the grand entrance and front grounds and fountains.

“A stay here should go on everyone's "bucket list"!!!!”

What more can one say; wow, fantastic, the best, exceptional, the standard to beat, etc., etc.. There is not one thing I can say to fault this Hotel, the service, the standards set and maintained, etc.. Do not miss a dinner at Hakkasan, one of many restaurants in the Hotel. Also do not miss having breakfast at least once in the main buffet restaurant in the morning. Plan on spending several hours grazing on the incredible breakfast choices. If I had to have one complaint about my stay here, it's not the fault of the Hotel, but rather some of the other guests who stayed here. Please please take note; if you are planning on taking children to this wonderful Hotel, then please please have the decency to control your little darlings instead of letting them run riot and disturb others who may not share your enthusiasm for their noise and antics - especially at such a wonderful breakfast experience.

“The best ever stayed in”

“Hope to go back”

The hotel competes well for the title "world's finest hotel". The hotel is one of the main attractions in UAE. The interior of the hotel is worth the name Palace. The hallways are wide and high, marble in different colours is the main cladding material on the floors and walls, many ceilings are decorated, some with gold leaves. The furniture is especially designed. There are items of ancient art on display. The suites and rooms are large and beautifully decorated with design items on the tables. There are several restaurants serving the cuisins from differents parts of the world. But the main restaurant served only buffets. The beach and pools are nicely designed and well kept but nothing of extra ordinary like the hotel itself.

Area recommendations

Abu Dhabi Mall. The prices are interesting.

Shopping

Marina Mall is the newest and largest mall in Abu Dhabi. But it is more expensive than Abu Dhabi Mall and does not offer the large assortments and shopping experience available in Dubai.

“STILL THE BEST”

EMIRATES PALACE STILL REMAINS TO BE A TRULY EXCELLENT HOTEL. I HAVE BEEN EACH YEAR SINCE IT OPENED IN 2006. HAVING SEEN IT FROM ITS BIRTH THERE ARE A FEW LITTLE THINGS THATI NOTICED RECENTLY. SWITCHES IN THE ROOM WERE RUBBED AND DATED. THE LAZY RIVER SWIMMING POOL WAS TIRED AND MOSAIC TILES WERE MISSING . COLD TOWELS USED TO BE BROUGHT AND EVEN SUNGLASS CLEANING...THIS NO LONGER HAPPENS - ALL MINOR LITTLE TOUCHES BUT ONES THAT MADE THIS HOTEL THE BEST. THE STAFF, RESTAURANTS AND GENERAL EXPERIENCE REMAIN SUPERB. A LITTLE LOVING CARE TO SOME FEATURES REQUIRED.

“A trip into Sheherazade”

Staying at the Emirates Palace was like entering Arabian Nights - like nothing we have ever experienced before. The level of service was exemplary and the room and amenities were literally those you would find in a palace. We availed ourselves of the "palace ceremony" room service breakfast on the balcony and were served by our butler. Enough food was provided to take care of lunch as well. The golf buggy to take you from one side of the hotel to the other was a novel touch - it was a long walk. Both pools provide excellent facilities, but the West pool is just as much fun for adults as for children. We were really sad to leave after three nights, but I was presented with a red rose on departure, which I thought was a lovely touch. We were very impressed with the pride that staff at every level took in their job and the courtesy and help of everyone we met. There is nothing I would change about Emirates Palace - it catered for our every need.
