"Palace Sao Silvestre is an easy 10min drive from the heart of Coimbra and it was an oasis to return to. This hotel is a very relaxing place to stay. Beautiful pool to cool down in or relax sitting by, picnic next to a vineyard, breakfast in the dining room or out on the patio and bar/dining on site; food & service were great. Loved that it is surrounded by lovely grounds available for use to guests. "

"We were here midweek during the off-season. Very quiet clean and spacious room with nice breakfast. About 5 minutes by car to the beach where you can get fresh fish and perfect sunset views. "

"Beautiful old world apartment central to everything. Hotel was clean and modern and instructions were easy. Finding location at first was challenging as there is no car pull in or front desk. However once we arrived it was easy. The bed was a bit firm and walls very thin so heard the people above us. Gentleman who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Worth the money and very safe. "The hotel room was dated. Floors need to be refurbished. The bed was not very comfortable. I liked that there were 2 bathrooms in the room. I liked the size of the balcony, however the balcony glass was not clear not sure if was becuz of ocean mist or just needed to be cleaned. There was a good ocean view. The shower in the bedroom wet the floor every time you showered. I was not impressed and actually disappointed for a four star hotel. "

"The hotel is located really close to main attractions, little confusing how to get to the main entrance but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is available. Room was clean and quiet. "

"We loved Aveiro and the Aveiro Palace. This is an older historic hotel right on the canal. Underground parking is right across the street. We had a wonderful breakfast in the restaurant and spent the day exploring. The gondola ride is about an hour and you can walk across the street to hop on. The ride is CHEAP! Beautiful town and lovely hotel. Keep in mind that it is a historic hotel and the rooms are cozy. "
