If you are staying in Picton this is the place to be. Beautiful location, a short walk from the town with it's bars and restaurants.
The friendly staff cannot do enough to please you which is also demostrated by the attention to detail in your room.
Living in the UK we may never have the opportunity to vist Picton again but if we do we know exactly where we will be staying and it will be Harbour View
Thank you to all.
Hotel staff very welcoming and accomodating with requests. Room huge with nice furnishings, great refrigerator and stove!!! Nice shower, couch, TV all perfect and working and clean!!! Big Room!!! Traveled around NZ and this was best room of trip!!! Book with smiles and confidence!!!
Hosts Diane and Rob were very welcoming and provided great suggestions for cycling and restaurants. B&B was on a quiet street in a subdivision and so peaceful with beautiful gardens and birds trilling. My best sleep of our trip so far.

We stayed 2 nights while travelling from Christchurch to Picton. Arrived on a public holiday and were welcomed by, and served at dinner by, the only front-of-house person on duty (Jetti). He gave excellent service. The food was generally good, and the special lamb rack with pumpkin mash was the best lamb dish I can recall. On our second night the chef came out to have a long conversation with us at the end of service. A complementary glass of port was available on an upstairs table.
Breakfast was quite good, though the service was a bit random, starting with "you won't be wanting cooked breakfast, will you?"
Our bedroom, the d'Urville room, and the corridors were furnished with many pictures of the French explorer's voyages and a model of his ship. The former use of the building was evident from the very heavy doors. We experienced a small earth tremor at 5:15 in the morning; no damage!

Suites are great, well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. Very quiet with no road noise at all.
The restaurant is great, good food and atmosphere but fairly pricey, so consider it for a treat or special occasion. Overall a very relaxing and pleasant experience.

Check in was fast and efficient, including handling our request to be moved to the ground floor rather than the second. Our car never left the parking lot, as the motel is situated within easy walking distance of the town center.
After a short windy 30 minute drive from the Picton ferry terminal, up a steep driveway to the most amazing B & B you could hope to find. Hop out of the car and you go Wow!!!. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening with another German couple that were also guests. Thoroughly enjoyed a superb evening meal and a great breakfast.
I chose to stay here as it is pet friendly, perfect choice!. We were all made to feel very welcome and nothing was a bother. The hosts Susie and Martin made us all feel at home in their truly beautiful home.
As a first time stay in a B & B, the experience could not have been any better than it was, hot tub great, large bedroom, sparkling clean bathroom, tea coffee facilities in the room and easy access to the outside areas.
You can appreciate the owners have put in a lot of hard work to the house and gardens, situated on 10 acres, you could sit outside and soak in the views all day if you had the time.
I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone seeking peace and quiet, my stay was for one night only, I would stay longer next time to explore the surrounding areas.
Great place to spend the last night of a holiday before having to head home.
We were only staying in Blenheim as a stopover on our route to Kaikoura for a trip the following day. The motel was easy to find and located opposite a range of facilities including a Speight's ale house where the food was really good. The pool was welcome after a day of walking and travelling. i would stay here again if I were back in New Zealand
