"This place is great however overpriced and not a lot of options for excursions. The food options were limited and they seemed to be out of everything, so it was slim pickings when it came to meals in a remote location. The mountain rooms suck, you can see right in them and so you have to keep the curtains drawn, which really doesn't matter as the view is horrible. "

"It was really nice and quiet. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. It was about 20 mins away from the main city center though so if you wanted to go around for shopping and eating out- you would need to use their private shuttle which is about P650 each way. You can also take a trike for P30 per person but that might be a bit far. There is another eating/shopping area closer to the resort which is about 5-10 mins in a trike. Smaller though. The property also had a small pier...

"Fantastic peaceful hotel away from all the hustle and bustle of coron town. Service was excellent and friendly. Would highly recommend. As soon as we arrived we had a drink in hand which was very welcome. Decor was lovely. Food wasnt the best we've had but tasty and sufficient. Good selection of cocktails at amazing prices. I would definitely go back."

"We stayed three nights are El Rio Y Mar Resort and wish we could have stayed a week. This resort is hands down the best resort we have stayed at in the Philippines. It's very secluded from the hustle and bustle of Coron yet close enough that you can still do the island hopping tours and excursions. The staff were exceptional from the time you arrive to the time you depart. The food at the ONLY restaurant was absolutely delicious. We were a bit nervous about there only being one restaurant...

"It was really nice and quiet. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. It was about 20 mins away from the main city center though so if you wanted to go around for shopping and eating out- you would need to use their private shuttle which is about P650 each way. You can also take a trike for P30 per person but that might be a bit far. There is another eating/shopping area closer to the resort which is about 5-10 mins in a trike. Smaller though. The property also had a small pier with a bar where you can enjoy the sunsets. It was also convenient for private tours as the tour picked you right up from the pier so no need to go anywhere else. Breakfast buffet was spectacular but the drinks at the bar needed work. Overall a great experience. "
