"On arrival the reception staff were very friendly. The room was clean and tidy and overall the hotel was really nice. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings. Unfortunately on the second night we had an issue with poor service. I complained to the restaurant manager who acknowledged the problem and this was ultimately resolved to our satisfaction."

"On arrival the hotel was clean, we arrived early and staff were very friendly, looked after our bags so we could go out. The staff were always very polite, helpful and friendly, happy to give us more tea, coffee and milk for our room. The room had a balcony and we could open the doors slightly to let air in but you couldn't go out on the balcony due to safety catch on doors not allowing it but that didn't bother us, we understood that it was designed to keep people safe. "The hotel was very comfortable and relaxing. We had a lovely big room with a gorgeous shower. But the stand out element was the food. The evening meal was stunning and delicious and the cooked breakfast was outstanding. An extra plus is that they serve up free canapés every afternoon. They were perfect and really gave us a taster of what the evening meal would be like. And all of the staff were very welcoming. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely stay there again. "

"The Swan Motel was absolutely lovely for our family. The staff were polite and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and opened directly into a garden area for the kids to play. And the food was absolutely delicious (and gigantic)!"

"We stayed in room 3 while our friends were in room 5, and the difference was remarkable. Our room was modern and didn't match the photo we saw online, as we were 'upgraded' due to a band playing in the pub below. The bathroom was incredibly small, only accommodating one person at a time. Definitely not worth £100 a night."

"The accommodation was very spacious (bigger than a lot lot of hotel rooms). There was a good selection of reasonably priced meals for dinner, which were also good portions. Vegetarian options also available. Ian was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast the next morning was also very good. Well worth the stay. Thank you."

"The hotel is in a beautiful location just a short walk from the Centre of Oulton Broad where there is a lovely park, in interesting museum (with free entry) and a few pubs and restaurants. You can also take a boat trip from here. We highly recommend the food at the hotel, our evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful."
