"Lovely stay! We got there late and the restaurant part of the bar downstairs was closing but our kind bed and breakfast owner asked them to wait a bit and feed us. The bar was fun and had a variety of British beers. Absolutely recommend it!"

"We had a couple of issues with the room. There was a leak on the tap and the bathroom vent did not work so a little steamy after a shower but we told the staff and they confirmed it would be fixed. Had a lovely lunch and dinner there and a great central place for touring the area. "

Was biker friendly also due to the weather they let us stay an extra hour. "It's a very pleasant pub/hotel. Friendly staff. Extremely close to Highclere Castle. The food was excellent. The only negative aspect was the bathroom. The shower cabinet is very small and vert high up, making it very hard in and out safely. Also there are not enough power points in the room. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!"

Views amazing from the room 302 Beautiful heritage building set in park like grounds with golf club. All staff excellent & Zoe very helpful with queries later evening ; night time."

"We were given a disability room off the car park so not in the main building. So no view of anything except a fence 18” from our window. Not sure why hotels think people with disabilities don’t need a surface to put their toiletries on in the bathroom. I find this in every room of this category we’ve stayed in. "

"I arrived around 9.30pm and was checked very efficiently by a gentleman who showed great customer service skills. I was allocated room number 1. The room was spacious, very warm, a big bed, a bath, decent kettle, coffee bags (as opposed to sachets) and quality biscuits and bathroom products. I had a meal in the restaurant on my second night. "Stayed two nights for a long weekend, perched on the edge of Highclere Castle for our visit. Quite close to the A34, but even though our room was on that side we had no traffic noise. Nice little room upstairs in the cottage next door. Breakfast was included and that was excellent. Also had two evening meals, sample photos attached. Chef is very talented. Would happily return."
