"A very uncomfy ‘springy’ bed. I did get an apology, so hope the matter is addressed. I hardly got any sleep because of it. Therefore I wouldn’t stay here again. A good hotel overall, pub meal pretty average, but that bed !!"

"The place is lovely where it is. A little hard to find as I was used to the old entrance to the race course which has now changed. The bathroom toilet set was suited to the bowl it was on and some of the walls were still not painted. However if you ignored those things. Everything else was very good. It will be a lot better when they can get a chef or cook for the restaurant side of the business as there wasn’t one when we visited over 2 days. "

"Good location for golfers. About 10-15 minute walk to old course. Very convenient to dining spots in St Andrews. Beds could be better after day of golfing and shower was okay. Lots of hot water though not overly intense for alleviating aches. Very good value given what was expected. "

"Lovely little village hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. My twin room was spotlessly clean with a well stocked tea tray with range of teas/coffee/biscuits etc. and premium bottled waters. Large shower room and ample towels, toiletries and bath robes. Only complaint is kitchen closes early at 6.45pm and no other options to eat out close by and rooms to front can be noisy being on a main road. Overall, would stay again, ideal for racecourse and Palace."
