Abeno Hotel Guide - 3 stars Hotels in Abeno, Japan

First time we visited Osaka, we came to the hotel by train (JR or Haruka express train from Kansai airport). Tennoji station is under and next to the hotel so it is very convenient to travel around Osaka. Specially we went to Namba area, the subway train ticket cost 240 yens, then we walked on the Namba Alley (street of hundred shops) to Dotonbory. We enjoyed the delicious food here, two side of the road have hundred of restaurants and food stalls: seafood, Osaka crispy fried pan cake etc... we like Osaka very much ... We checked in the hotel in the first floor and the ground floor connected to the Tennoji station so we don't need to carry our luggages across the road.

Very close to the JR train station (only a 2 min walk) very easy to find, it's right on the main road. We booked 2 semi double non smoking rooms and got both on the 13th floor - one on the train side, one on the road side. There was little to no noise from the outside in either rooms, and the one on the train side had a fantastic view over the city and the zoo which is right at your door step. The rooms were the smallest we had stayed in while traveling through Japan, but it was only somewhere to sleep so we didn't mind. The bed was like sleeping on the ground (hard as a rock) and the pillows weren't much better... The room was very clean, and had internet access in your room via a LAN cable, there was internet facilities available on the 2nd floor, but we didn't investigate. There are many restaurants in the area, and an underground food court & shopping district under the train lines at the back of the hotel.
