I expected a typical cheap hotel with a shared bath. Instead I stayed in a nice hotel with very friendly staff, bathroom in the room, great view, great location in downtown. It far exceeded anything I could have hoped it would be.
This was an adorable little hostel! Perfect location! Our balcony overlooked the main street of stores and cafes. We loved keeping our window open to just look down and watch the street. The staff was helpful in giving us suggestions on places to visit and attractions to see. The room was clean and felt safe. Breakfast was okay, but since it was included, we didn't complain. Very satisfied.
Great hotel: affordable price, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff! Recommended to people travelling on budget! Walking distance to all major tourist attractions:
Rossio, Se Cathdral, Commerce Square, Santa Justa elevator, Metro, etc.
Simple hotel with everything done very well... Very close to good restaurants and bars with an excellent 24 hour pastry coffee shop below. Freshly decorated and spotlessly clean rooms. Lovely helpful and friendly staff.
This is a basic hotel--no frills, but a lot of value for the price. It is the best budget lodging in Lisbon. It is safe, clean, tidy, professionally and efficiently run, and family owned and operated. Internet access is available only on the ground floor (small lobby and dining room), but that allows for a little interaction among fellow travelers. The two brothers who take turns attending the front desk speak excellent English and are very helpful if asked for advice on what to do and see. The breakfast is continental. I am not a breakfast eater, so it mattered not to me. There is a very small tv in each room, but if you are in Lisbon to watch t.v. you might want to rethink you priorities. The place is exactly as described on the various travel sites, so I knew exactly what I was getting and it met my expectations and needs completely. As a woman traveling alone, security was important and I felt very comfortable knowing that the desk manager was only allowing in those who had booked rooms there. It is on a fairly quiet stretch of street very close to the downtown tourist action. I would definitely stay here again.
