Wanted to leave the same day but the manager refused to refund the money so we were forced to stay. Luckily we only booked 1 night. The night we couldn't sleep as the room has no windows and no soundproof. you can hear talking staff until midnight as if they were staying in your room. It was super hot upstairs becasue...

"This little resort was awesome! The staff were all amazing, best hospitality service we received on our whole 3 week trip. The staff called us by name and made us really feel at home. Only complaint was the smell walking from the villas to the main reception area smalls like sewage and they burn garbage all over the island so the smells were getting to me a bit"

"The staff at Camilla went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They were very helpful in arranging extra activities and ensuring we had everything we needed. They were very personable and made us feel right at home. The rooms provided nice privacy with a private jacuzzi and an outdoor shower which was nice. "Loved the cottages. Lots of cute, very friendly kitties on the property. Staff was super nice and helpful. Restaurants nearby (especially Pituq) are fantastic. Such a bargain too."

"First I want to say that the hotel shows a club being apart of its property... there is no club! The club they show in the pictures is on the main strip. Secondly, the bedsheets had holes and stains. And finally not much sleep due to the holes in the the walls. But the people who worked there were very sweet! "

"This hostel was really nice, from the reception to the room to the breakfast , all very nice. I stayed for 5 nights , the first couple nights I stayed in the deluxe room and the last 3 in a standard double. I had planned on hotel hopping around the island but Gili Buana was so relaxed I was happy to stay put. As A solo traveler I felt very welcome. Aisje the manager was an amazing hostess, she invited me for sunset and dinner a couple nights which was lovely. I highly recommend this hostel. "

"Jennie, the host is amazing. She is American and speak English and Indonesian. She gave me many hints and suggestions. The place was overbooked and she proposed me a place into her house, a private room and bathroom which you have your own access so you do not intrude into their live. You can have access to the kitchen. The place is close to the action but far enough not to hear the lively Main Street. I will definitely come back as she is resourceful and her place is great"
