Caye Caulker Plaza was truly amazing. Conveniently located near the beach and water taxi. Nice walk to the split/lazy lizard. Amazing staff that put their guest needs first. I emailed a few times prior to arrival and always got a response within minutes. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island of Caye Caulker.
Though we caught the end of the rainy season, our stay was quite comfortable. The staff could not have been better, helping with obtaining golf carts, taxis, air reservations, tours, etc. All with a smile! The hotel has several shelves of books, sunscreen and insect repellent for guests, which was a real boon. All rooms have a view of the Caribbean, only a stone's throw away.

Had a very welcoming and comfortable stay at ocean tides with a lot of fun too! Great location, nice pool and ocean access, big clean rooms, fun pool side bar, and excellent staff (Eric - aka Bird - was especially amazing, always going out of his way to help create an exciting Belize experience)!
We were in a top floor suite with a nice big king size bed. Room was basic but had all the necessary parts including a mini fridge and a/c. The staff were all very helpful and friendly (although I did question the total of our bar tabs a couple times). They also had a great vibe at the pool with a variety of upbeat music and open area to mingle with other travelers!
A great place to stay! We had 5 people in two rooms with lofts, and had more space than we needed (regular rooms are probably smaller). 15 minute walk to town, shopping, dining, groceries, airport. Staff are friendly, helpful, fluent in English (and Spanish, I think). There is a bar / cafe on the premises which serves good breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices, and there is windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailboat (Hobie Cat), kayak rental on the beach. Front desk will recommend restaurants and tours, and tours will pick you up at the hotel dock. Great snorkelling / diving is 15 minutes boat ride either direction, but Mayan ruins are a 1 hour boat ride to the mainland. Our rooms had big screened windows both sides, we left them open and let the wind blow through, didn't need air conditioning. Would definitely go again, both to Belize, and to the Caribbean Villas resort. We felt very safe and comfortable everywhere in Belize.
