The location of the hotel is far from most excursions on the island, so a car needs to be rented. If you don’t have a driving licence, I wouldn’t recommend staying here, as you’ll be stuck at the hotel unless you don’t mind paying for a taxi every time you want to leave the premises.
We booked a room with a sea view, which was great to wake up to. However, there were cobwebs in the corners of the room. The hot water in the shower was hit and miss most days, and the shower screen wasn’t cleaned before or throughout the duration of our stay.
Breakfast had a decent selection of food, but you often had to fight off wasps while trying to eat, particularly if you were sitting outside. The restaurant in the evening had a nice selection of food, and everything was cooked well, but the food was quite bland. Everything seemed to be garnished with chives, which became a little repetitive. Other than that, the service from the waiters was great.
Most if not all excursions are cheaper if booked directly with the companies hosting not through the hotel.
The aesthetics of the hotel was spot on, very picturesque as you'll see in the few pictures I have posted in the review.
Overall the stay was hit and miss in most areas.
