Our stay started off on a frustrating note due to issues with housekeeping. Room service didn’t come on the first day, and on the second day we had to call reception around 5pm to follow up. After speaking with the manager, we agreed on a specific daily time for housekeeping for the remainder of our 8-day stay. Unfortunately, even after this arrangement, the room was not serviced at the agreed time the following day, and we once again had to contact reception. While the staff did offer a room credit as a gesture, the repeated inconvenience did affect the overall holiday experience and made it difficult to fully relax thereafter. That said, the hotel itself has a lot going for it. The room was excellent, and the amenities were of a high standard. The rooftop area is a highlight, although it can get quite crowded—on one occasion we weren’t able to get chairs, which was disappointing. Overall, a property with great potential and strong facilities, but the inconsistency in service needs improvement to match the otherwise high standard.

Room floor was dirty and pillows could have been more comfortable, but otherwise, the property is beautiful and peaceful

I absolutely love the Croydon! I’ve stayed here before and it’s so convenient. Great restaurant onsite, feel of a boutique-style hotel, the room is standard (at least the one I stayed in) but it’s perfect and clean. Street parking available, I parked right in front of the main entrance and left my car there the entire stay. My only complaint is the gym. Not much of one, really. It’s outdoors with an awning, some rusted weights, bikes and a bench. Definitely expected more because the hotel is so lovely. This won’t deter me from staying here again, though, I’d definitely be back. Just something to think about for a future space.

The property was gorgeous but the front desk could’ve been more helpful. We asked for a physical key 3 times and were told they only do online keys, third time they gave us a physical key after we noticed other guests with one.

Beach was windy (nature); but still lovely, and the Spa and massage were great! I suggest cleaning the seaweed from the waves/sand, and leveling the sand.
