Khao Thong Waterpark Holidays

Not your typical hotel room, lots of wood and interesting decorations. All rooms are grouped around a mangrove. Nice mineral water swimming pool and cool restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner. Entire staff was very pleasant and helpful.

If you like a apartnent pool out in nowhere with no staff, prison food and lots og bugs/insects, which is priced much higher then much finer hotels in this area, then this should be your choice. We are a family of 4. Prepaid for this "luxury villa" in advance for 5 nights. We had to pack our staff and find a new hotel after the first night. One of the worst places Ive been to compared ro the price range. Its a newly started hotel (jan 2026). It basically has no maintance or staff it seemed. No handsoap in wc. Construction work noise. You wake up 7 in the morning by screeming muay thai people which were the neighbours. The kitchen has no walls to outside so basically every insect is welcome to share your food. No aircondition in bathrooms so its badly humid/hot. No pool cleaning so you swim with bugs. It wasnt clean either. I stepped on a gum in bedroom. The luxury breakfast was as luxury as a prison meal. Nothing to choose from. We got small glass og orange juice and milk for each of us. With 1 humid bread/crossaint and egg and sausage. A small sample of butter og jam which they probably got free somwhere, was also included. There was no place to get food or drink, no breakfast hall, no civilization nearby, basically no staff..just one person at reception which was unmanned after 22. We checked out after the first night and they didnt even bother to offer refund for rest 4 days paid. Stay away unless you like noise, insects and overpriced rooms.

Very nice beach resort that in its glory days must have been fantastic, but it is now behind its prime and need to be renovated. The resort have many great facilities, but unforturnately most of it closes too early e.g. fitness, kids playroom and mini golf closed at 5pm.

Very friendly staff. Clean and well kept facilities. Multiple pools on property, and not too crowded during our stay. Various spa and wellness activities on site. Some activities are free if you plan ahead. Property is close to beach; a nice place to go for sunset. Hotel breakfast was excellent. Good variety of fresh food made on site from “zero waste” kitchen. Property also offers free golf cart transport on site if you don’t want to walk. Highly recommend to stay here if planning a trip to Krabi!

Stayed in a swim up room beside the adult pool for 1 week which was fantastic and gave easy access to main amenities in the hotel. Things we loved - the spa (treatments were amazing), the food and drinks at the pool bar (great choice and everything we tried was delicious), the quiet and easy going vibe around the pool with plenty of sun loungers for all. The shuttle into town is a great option, however it's really cheap to get a Grab and give yourself the flexibility of coming and going on your own schedule. Things that could be improved: Breakfast - not as good as we hoped with luke warm hot options, pre-cooked and re-warmed poached eggs. Best breakfast bits were the fruit selection and freshly made omelettes. Beach - the area directly in front of the hotel is clean and beautiful, but progress round the first bush to go for a walk and there's plastic and general rubbish washed up / dropped on shore. Such a shame in such a beautiful location. Good hotel with lovely staff but a little bit more attention to detail could make it great.
